Your Internet Connection
 

I was just thinking about my internet connection and was wondering how it compares to the rest of the world and in general what its like in the rest of the world. I'm guessing I might not be the only one who is interested in this, so I decided to open this thread so that those interested can post info about their connection for comparison.

Here is some stuff I'd like to know:

1. Where you live (country for smaller ones, perhaps which state for those in the US?)
2. Download speed (in M/Kbits)
3. Upload speed (in M/Kbits)
4. Monthly bandwidth limit (if any)
5. How much you pay for it(since a lot of people are from the US, I think it should be in $ or at least include dollars to have some kind of standard)
6. Type (if you know it, ex. adsl, cable)

If somebody feels like something is missing from the list, I'll add it.

Here is mine:

1. Bosnia and Herzegovina
2. 6 mbits
3. 0.5mbits/512kbits
4. No bandwidth limit/ flat
5. 22 km/~11euros/~15 dollars
6. Cable Internet

If somebody uses mobile internet a lot I guess they could post that too.

They make a lot of those kinds of download business here: they cut download capacity from somewhere (like US/Canada/Japan sites) and put unlimited on either national or European bandwidth. That way, they give up some lesser profit to try and gain the bigger one.
