Re: Yo Shrike
Movie Heather is kinda cute.
I liked the first movie, if only for the visual stuff. Actually looking forward to this. |
Re: Yo Shrike
Being a "hardcore silent hill 3" fan myself, am pretty pumped about this. However, the actress looks way older than a 17 y/o girl which what Heather/Sheryl supposed to look like..so i don't really approve. Other than that, am pretty PUMPED. and goddamn, Pyramid head looks FUCKING BOSS.

Re: Yo Shrike
The real question is
Will Sean Bean die? |
Re: Yo Shrike
I think that's more a matter of "when."

Re: Yo Shrike
I just want to see the movie where Sean Bean makes it to the end and after the credits they role a brief clip of him saying "Bloody hell... I finally made it. (laughter)"
|
Re: Yo Shrike
Actually, wait. It just occurred to me he already made it to the end of the first Silent Hill movie.

Re: Yo Shrike
I wonder if they paid him enough to appear throughout the movie. He's the only recognisable actor in the whole film.

Re: Yo Shrike
Wonder if Sean Bean convince the guy that play Jon Snow to be in this movie

Re: Yo Shrike
What can I say... I am looking forward to this, but I know it won't satisfy my Silent Hill needs. Just like the first movie did not.
I love SH. The story of SH2 is especially recognizable. It just seems that in the first movie they missed much of what SH is all about. It's not about it being hell. It's about it being hell for certain people only. Pyramid head has no place in either movie. Nor do the mannequins for that matter. For those that did not know, Silent Hill shapes around people's character. In SH2, for example, (spoiler alert) we had James as a lead guy. The mannequins and the Red Pyramid (later called Pyramid Head) are all creations of his guilt and it alone. No one else should be seeing the Red Pyramid. In Silent Hill 3 (spoiler again) Vincent tells Cheryl (Heather) : They look like monsters to you? Because clearly, they do not look like it to him. He is a cult fanatic of the SH female god. He sees them who knows how. Probably as saviors, angels or the like. What I am trying to say is that the movie makers did not get the essence of SH. And that is kind of the most important thing. What I don't like is the church and the whole sirens coming from it thing. The sirens were actually the part of SH mystery. You SHOULD be wondering why and where from are they heard, since right after them, the town changes. The said changes do not occur randomly as in the movie, too. I love that Akira Yamaoka is still lead in the music department though. His departure would mean no real Silent Hill, and I am not joking. The man is a legend. That being said, I know I will be disappointed, but I am still looking toward the movie. Reason being, even though they missed the point, the first movie was fine. I can even say I liked it (except for some horrible scenes but whatever). |
