And Bleach continues to sink, what a surprise. On a worrying note, I think this is the first time OP sales dropped considering the last year (38 million in 2011 vs 23.4 million in 2012). Other noteworthy slips are Blue Exorcist (from #3 to #18), Toriko (#5 to #11) and Gintama (#6 to #13).

Now the odd part is a basketball manga getting #2, with almost half more copies than Naruto.

Nothing to worry about. OP got a huge boost from the MF war to the end of part 1 with new fans coming in and buying old volumes. Right now it basically normalized, we should see numbers in the high 30s-low 40s down the road once some of the big mysteries start being unveiled.

As for Toriko, In my opinion the extreme focus on training, battles and power ups spanning the last 3-4 arcs might have contributed to it slipping in the rankings.

Most of those manga I don't even know. Sales mean shit, so eh. OP dominates still, no wonder. The whole Japan is in the sign of One Piece. I am glad that Magi is going up fast, while Bleach goes further down. That's good.

Ha, out of everything on that list I only read Detective Conan and One Piece. Unless there's an "English" version of one of the names like "Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu" that I would recognize. But I doubt it.

Or it could be due to the fact that Toriko is a manga about food.

PS: Cool to see Magi on a top selling list.

It was number 4 last year if memory serves, and it does really well in JP, so concept is not a problem. The century soup arc is proof that Shimabukuro can dish out good characterization and interlace the world building with the plot, the problem is that he is really going overboard with the action. He has gone from fight to fight non stop in the last few arcs. Too much action is just as bad as very little of it, he needs to strike a balance.

I thought I saw Shingeki no Kyojin pretty high up (~top 10) on some other, list? Where did it go :S

P.S. Googled to see how many Volumes were out, noticed the English name, checked first to see if it's on the list, and there it is, #15
