Shikamaru promoted to Special Jounin?
 

There is a high chance that Shikamaru could be promoted to Special Jounin for completing this mission. Shikamaru shows great intellectual and some killer battle tactics and he never puts a friend in danger. He has great leader skills and he never take risks that are too high.

Although Shikamaru does not have much stamina and chakra, and his fighting skills are average at best, he excells very well in other areas. Although he might not become a full Jounin yet, but I'm actually almost positive that Shikamaru could become Special Jounin right after the mission. He has time to become a Jounin later in life when some of his weaker skills become a little stronger.

I agree with you specialist, he should be promoted to s.jonin. If he comes away beating 2 aka members, with a squad of 1 jonin and 3 chunnin, thats impressive. I think that he has the full respect of kakashi, which is hard.
Hes not a great one on one fighter, but one of the best battle leaders. I dont think that kakashi could of made up a better plan

I agree. Shikamaru has definitely impressed me in the recent chapters, and he deserves a promotion. According to a Naruto guidebook I read, a ninja is promoted to jounin or s.jounin through recomendations from current jounin. Kakashi will definitely recommend Shikamaru once they return to the village.

Shikimaru's IQ is totally beyond understanding. Once they do return to the village, kakashi should recommend Shiki. He should be in the Special Jonin class of Rocket Sceintist Genuis's.

Shika should be beside the Hokage, and kick Tsizune out from the office. He will be the strategist and will plan which teams will be sent on missions.

actually, you are right about saying he should be special jounin. He is a killer tactician, but he still lacks the general battle skill to be a regular jounin, so he could (and should) become a special jounin now.

yep.
he should definately be well protected, never sent to an unknown front line, but always be able to observe them. he should have his two cents in everything that goes on in konoha.

I agree, I think he should definately become a Special Jounin, because even though he's not brilliant in battle, he is so unbelievably smart and quick-thinking. After this battle Kakashi should definately recommend him for becoming a SJ, he'd be great.

well i agree wit everyone and Kakashi should and probably will recomend shiki for S.Jounin or they should make a special position if they havnt already kinda like a secretary of defence he would come up with war stradagies

it's highly probable, so it's not that shocking really. He was first to become chuunin, and everyone recognizes his intelligence though when you say he doesn't have much chakra, thats a backstep. I don't recall any time they stated he has less chakra than the average ninja. He moulds his chakra well, he's just very conservative. It's strategic and beneficial. It just shows his intelligence all the more. He has an average level of stamina as well, he just chooses not to perform at his best most of the time because, as stated many times, Shikamaru is a lazy fuck ^^ But then again, with his intelligence, a lot of stuff would obviously bore him, so who can blame him?

No doubt. However, Shikamaru was lucky to have a team there at least. I know there's already a guideline there for why and how someone should be an S. Jounin, but I'd still like to think that when faced with a strong enemy in battle, and not backed up by a team the way he was recently, that he'd be able to handle himself, and the situation. And Shikamaru isn't exactly known for doing anything other than quiting, or running out of chakra when involved in one on one battles. Shame.
