NL the Anime

*rubs hand behind neck* well I've been planning and thinking about this for a while, I'd have prefered to make it into a Manga to have pictures to go with my story but as I began to draw I realized...I'm really freakin lazy and don't have the time or the patience to sit and draw every single character @.@; So I guess I'll make it into a fan fic, I only have a little bit of it done but I thought about how, and not to sound boasty or anything, I changed a lot of peoples lives coming here and how they changed a lot of mine. I loved, I hated, My heart was broken, I broke hearts, I made people smile...and I made people cry and then I thought about how that would kind of make a good story line ya know? So here it is, I call it NL the Anime o.o; I'll post the story later on this week but wanted to get the basic idea across as of right now. And I plan on using EVERYONE and not leaving anything out. Although it's going to be tweaked a little to fit with how the story is ya know? Like you're really not sitting in a room with a bunch of people on the net ya know sipping tea etc. etc. And I also plan to include L9i since that was a huge turning point in the people I met. Don't worry, it'll all make sense later on. Oh, and if you're not in the story right away, you will be, like Key or LN you guys won't be in it for a LONG time since I just met you after the time skip which is a while from now @.@ sorry guys ^^; I'm going in order.

NC and NL are cities, where real people come and go from all over when the Real World gets to tough or whatever, basically a place built for outsiders, Tom rules over it of course with the help of his Admins and Mods. And mods and admins are kind of like super cops, they have staffs and marks on their bodies showing who they are and the source of their powers. A blue circle for Mods, a green square for S. Mods and red triangle for Admins on their left hands. And basically their job is to keep NL and NC safe (the story's gonna focus more on NL really which is a small place in an opening in the woods) and there are giant things called Virus's the live in the woods surrounding NL and NC..(remember this is in the middle of no where) which sometimes like to sneak in to the cities and cause trouble @.@ Course later on the Point System will be created where dedicated members can also get powers and you'll find that out later >.<;

Anyways, if this story sounds kind of egotistic....deal with it and don't read it because it's not, I'm just telling the story about how I saw it. It's about this girl Lily who's 15 years old (starting from the beginning o.o) and stumbles across NL and that's where the story unfolds, I don't want to give to much away right now. Hope you all like it ^^ I know it's gonna be exciting!

Re: NL the Anime

now remember kiddies, I didn't meet some of you for a long time and I'm going from the beginning of this, some people may not be in it like as main characters like extras ya know? anyways, I just want to remind everyone that some things may seem a little extreme or whatever but it was all for the story and dramatic tension and crap. Either way, here's part 1 of the first chapter of it. Damn this things gonna be fucking long @.@

NL The Anime

I'm floating...in a vast nothing of space.

Lily...."

Sometimes...I wonder...do I really belong here? Do any of us belong here? What is our purpose? Is it really animal insticts that cause us to hurt...to feel pain?

"Lily."

Nothing makes sense, when will it make sense...

"Lily!"

Will we ever find our purose?

"LILY RAY REAPER!"

"Gah!" Lily sat up with a jolt, panting as if the very breath was being sucked out of her. It took her a few seconds to remember that she was in the passager seat of her mother's Cheevy, speeding down a God-forsaken dirt road in the middle of know where. She pressed her sweat soaked brow against the cool window to find it's effects useless against her hot forehead.

"Lily, we're almost here and you have bed hair," said her mother as she yanked a comb out of her purse without taking her eyes off of the road. "I won't have you embarrassing me in front of Mark."

Lily snarled and snatched the comb from her mother's hand. "Oh, God forbid if I ruined you fling, mommy-dearest." She began to violently run the comb through her long brown hair. "I don't see why we had to move, it's not like this is going to last long anyway. HE should move in with us!"

"Don't do that, you'll get split ends!" Her mother yanked back the comb and shoved it back into her purse. "Now behave, I want Mark to think I have a daughter not a deliquient, (sp)" her mother spat as she turned into the driveway.

"I'll do my best mommy-dearest...Just try not to make yourself to be to easy. I want Mark to know I have a mother, not a painted up hooker."

Her mother slammed on the brakes as they pulled up to the beaten-up house and turned towards her daughter, nostrils flaring. Before she could say anything, the drivers door opened and a man reached in and took her mother into his arms. Lily leaned forward and looked over the man, and cringed. He wasn't that good-looking. From what she could see, he had enough hair on his body to open up a wig shop, and he could use a membership to the gym. Lily shrugged and got out the car. Hey, I'm not the one who has to be in bed with him, Lily thought as she looked over the house.

They say a man's possessions match his personality, and she could already tell that her and Mark were not going to be getting along. The house was not taken care of, some of the shutters were gone, some still dangling for dear life. It was an ugly white, or perhaps a faded out yellow, Lily couldn't tell. Even from the driveway, she could smell the putridness of the house, she could already see the sink full of dishes, the dirty laundry everywhere it made her cringe. "Wow, my mother sure does know how to pick them," Lily said as she rolled her eyes and started walking into the house.

As she opened the door, the smell hit her like a ton of bricks and she had to step back so as not to be rude and gag. It was worse then she had suspected. The smell of urine and animals was everywhere. "I CAN'T DO THIS! MOTHER! I CAN'T LIVE HERE!" She turned on her heels and began to stomp towards her mother but stopped at what she saw. "Ew.....gross." Mark and her mother were all over each other as if long-lost lovers.

Her right eye began to twitch as she turned around and stomped back towards the house. "If I cut off my nose and gauge out my eyes, it won't be so bad here!" Lily said with a fake smile. She looked over next to her as she watched one of Mark's dog urinate on the couch. The color drained from her face. "I can't do this."

That night, Lily lay restless, making every possibly attempt to sleep in this horrible place. Just as she began to close her eyes and finally find sleep she heard a loud thump. Her eyes shot open, then when all was quiet again, she tried once more to find rest.

*Thump* *Giggle*

This time, Lily sat straight up. She knew what was going on in the next room over. "FREAKIN RUDE PEOPLE!" She leaped out of bed and began to violently toss clothes left and right from her suitcase as the thumping increase. "Can't get any fucking sleep around here. Hell can't even fucking live in this Hell Hole." She ripped off her pajama's and slammed her right foot through her jeans. "I'm going for a fucking walk, need to get this fucking smell out of my damn system." She fastened her jeans and grabbed a black tank top. She yanked on her tennie shoes and opened her window. Woods as far as she could see with the plump moon as her only light. She was having seconds thoughts about going out into a place where she did not know the way. She heard her mother giggle and another thump and that made up her mind, she leapt from her window and landed on the cool, dew covered grass.

Re: NL the Anime

She crotched there, her hands growing wet and cold from the dew. It made her feel, alive somehow. For some reason, she wanted to stay there forever, she had this feeling that she wouldn't feel this same patch of grass for a long time. "What am I doing?! I'm caring about some blades of grass!" She stood straight up and wiped her hands on her jeans. She turned towards the woods she faced from her window and ran into them. Their branches brushing her face like a mothers gentle touch, she glanced up at the moon and decided to chase it.

Lily didn't know how long she had been running, she had just let her legs and the moon lead her. Lily grasped onto an old oak tree for support as she caught her breath. She had only meant to take a short stroll, she had doubted Mark could last long, but here she found herself. Stranded and alone, having no idea where she was or where she was going. She slid down the tree trunk, she was exhausted from all the running and the sleepless night. Night was turning into day, her leader was backing down to a much bigger threat, the sun. Still panting, she looked up at the sky. It was so beautiful how the energies of the moon and sun clash to create such vibrant colors.

A twig snapped a few feet away from her and broke her conncentrations. She sat rightup, and looked around. She must have dozed off, the moon had gone to bed and it appeared to be mid-afternoon. Her body tensed as she heard footsteps close by her. It must be Mark and mom, they must have noticed me gone and came looking for me. She pulled herself up but fell back down, finding her legs asleep.

"Well...well..well. Aren't you a pretty little creature?" said a deep voice next to her.

She spun around and her brown eyes lit up. Before her stood a man dressed in a business suit. He had a wicked smile plastered on her face. Her eyes narrowed at him and she tried to sit up as best she could. "Who are you?"

"Names aren't really important huh sweetcheeks?" He began to un-tie his necktie. "I was just heading home, and when I stumbled upon a delicious looking creature sitting here all alone. Looking for the city honey?"

She cocked an eyebrow at him. "City?" How long did I run? Did I run back into civilization?! "Is that why you're in a business suit?"

He began to unbutton his shirt as he crept closer. "You talk to much, you know that?"

Her eyes grew huge as he was breaths away from her. She pressed her back against the trunk of the tree, grasped onto it from behind as if it would help her defend herself. "NO! Don't touch me!"

As he reached for her, something snapped inside of her. She had feeling in her legs again and kicked straight into the air, her toes making connection with his groin. As he doubled over in pain, Lily jumped up and began to run blindly into the woods. She couldn't remember which way she had come from, she didn't think it would have made a difference anyway. "Help! Someone help me!" She began to call as she heard footsteps pounding behind her. Her strength had not fully returned and he caught her easily. Red dots blurred her vision as pain shot through the back of her head. She felt her body fly back as he grasped her hair and pulled her back.

"You stupid bitch! I'll kill you!" He spat fire and acid down at her.

Her body wouldn't move, it had become numb with fear. She lay there panting for dear life, her eyes open wide with fear. Her mind was screaming but her body wouldn't move. She let out a scream of built up anger and fear and clentched her eyes shut.

She heard a loud thud next to her and felt his grip on her hair lossen. She dared to open one eye to see a woman in strange clothing standing next to her, a strange staff in her hand looking down at the man who had attacked her. The woman turned towards her and both of Lily's eyes shot open. The woman had whiskers! "Are you alright?"

Lily lay there gapping as the lady bent down to help her sit up. "You're not hurt are you? Don't worry, he won't bother you or anyone else again."

Lily jumped out of the woman's arms and scrambled away, her face still in shock. "Who....wh..." She looked over at her attacker to find him gone. Vanished out of thin air. "What happened to hi...!"

"He went back to the Real World is all. Nothing major. I'm more worried about you. Oh!" The woman's kind smile turned into a giggle. "You're a Noob aren't you?"

"A what?" Lily asked, it hurt to blink, it hurt to think but she couldn't stop doing either of those. She didn't know what else to do.

The woman took Lily's arm, still softly giggling to herself. "Come into the city with me, I'll take you to the Noob's Section and get you all cleaned up."

Lily wanted to protest, she didn't want some strange lady with whiskers leading her off to some place she didn't know. Then she thought about a nice warm bed, something to eat and a shower, and she already didn't know where she was so any palce was better then here. "My names Lily by the way, and thank you for what you....you know, back there."

The woman still kept her soft smile as she faced Lily. "Hello Lily, that's a beautiful name. My name is Mika, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Lily found herself smiling, it was if this young woman was really a old lady underneth her strange clothing. She carried around a staff with a giant green square on top of it, Even without knowing Mika, she could tell that Mika was a lady of power. She wore all black right up into her dark coal eyes that sun in the afternoon sun. The only color she had on her was her bright purple hair. Her pants were strange, on her left leg it was a full pant leg, but her right had it cut short with the fuzz of the pants going around her thigh. She had a crop top on with huge sleeves that drapped down to her knees. Lily's eyes opened wide as she starred at her neck. She has a green sqaure on her choker like on her staff. "Umm excuse me, Mika?"

The stopped walking close to the top of a hill. "Yes, Lily?"

"Why do you carry around a staff? And your choker, it matches the staff. Why is that?"

Mika touched the green square on her choker. "This shows that I am a S.Mod at NC. It is the source of all my power, and my staff is an extension of that power, it helps me control it."

Lily looked at her quizzily. "S. Mod? I don't understand."

Mika smiled and rested her hand on Lily's shoulder. "It's simple. There are four levels of power in NC. Kind of the Government in the Real World. We'll start from the bottom. There's Mod which are usually associated with a blue circle. S. Mods, as you know, use a green square. Then there's Admin which you'll see with a red triangle. And finally, at the very top, Webmaster, but that's usually Tom. He's the creator of NC as well as a few other cities. We each have our own staffs as well, NC just has the general form of them but some places my have custom ones. Now as for NC..."

"Why do you keep calling it the 'Real World'," Lily interupted.

"Lily, you really have no idea where you are do you?"

Mika took her arm and led her to the top of the hill. Lily let out a gasp as she stared down at a huge metropolis. There were skyscrappers, billboards, people everywhere. It was like a mini version of New York city. It was surrounded by trees, real trees! As if pollution didn't exsist in this utopia. "Welcome, to NC, Lily."

Lily took a step forward. "How....how is this even possible?! How could something like this exsist?!"

Before Mika could answer, the green square began to pulsate. "Oh snicker-doddles! We'll have to cut this meeting short." She tossed her staff out in front of her, and like magick, it began to hover above the ground. "I'm being summoned. Take shelter please Lily," Mika cried as she hopped onto her staff as if she were a witch and it her broom.

Re: NL the Anime

ACK SORRY FOR THE TRIPLE POST! BUT IT WOULDN'T ALL FIT! >.<

As Mika began to fly off Lily ran after her crying. "Wait! Please don't leave me!"

"I'm sorry Lily!" Mika called back as she faded off into the distance over the city.

Lily stopped running and stood there midway down the hill. She wanted to cry, she didn't want to be alone again. She didn't want to be alone in a new place like this, a place where people dressed weird, talked funny and thought of themselves as super cops. But for some reason, the tears and the sadness wouldn't come. Am I numb? No. Maybe...Maybe it wasn't Mika that made me so at home, she thought.

Lily began to run back down the hill, the sky was so clear her head had stopped pounding. Maybe she could find a phone and call her mother so she didn't worry. "Maybe, everythings going to be ok," she said with a smile as her feet pounded against the concrete, buildings were a flash around her. "I can do this!"

As reality sunk in, she began to slow her run to a slight trot. Where is everyone? she thought. Lily looked around, the streets she had just looked at that was busting with people was now deserted like a ghost town. She stopped and called out. "Hello?! Anyone here?!" Was I hullicainating? Am I still hullicianting?

The ground shook below her. She looked down, her eyes wide with curiousity and fear. "Is this an earthquake?" The shaking stopped and everything became peacful again. Just as she went to catch her breath, the shaking began again. The tremors became violent, as if a herd of wild elephants was running straight towards her. She heard a low gurgle in the distance and her body tensed automatically. As she stared at the ground she saw the sun become shadowed by an unknown force. She slowly turned her head and body slowly and glanced up at a hideous monster.

It was gray and vainy. It had no eyes, just sunk-in craters or darkness. What appeared to be acid, dripped from it's melting skin. The ground sizzled where the drops landed. It made a soft gurgling sound as if gargling with water. It had to be ten stories high, it was so tall it eclisped the sun.

Lily took a step back and starred at it wide eyed. She wasn't sure if she could out run it, in the scary movies the girl never gets away from the monster. But she was fearful, if that thing could melt the very ground she was standing on, there's no boundries to what it could do to her.

The monster gripped onto the building next to it as if for support, as it began to make it way slowly towards her. Lily's mind screamed for her to run, and this time, her body obeyed this time. Her feet carried her deep into the heart of the city. She heard a strange rumbling sound, much louder then before followed by loud whistling, as if a missle had been fired and it was coming right at her. She didn't stop running, but she turned her head to see balls of gray, vainy balls of acid flying right towards her. She let out a scream of pure terror as she dove to the ground. She curled into a little ball as the balls of sizzling acid plummited towards her. This is so fucked up! I don't want to die! Her head was pounding, she couldn't think straight. The smell of the monsters foul acid was making her sick to her stomach. Her screams echoed into the emptiness of the city.

End of Chapter one!

Re: NL the Anime

cool thanks for the replies everyone ^^ I just can't stop writting now, this is going to take a fucking long time though -.-; Anyways, here's chapter two xD ack did it again forgot to italics the thoughts >.<;

Lily clenched her eyes tight as the sickening acid flew toward her. This can't be it! This just can't be! Her mind kept screaming. Lily took her final breath and prepared for the impact. Lily crouched there, huddled over in her little ball of security for what seemed to her like ages. "Wait a second..," Lily opened her right eye and appeared around her. She had crouched there much longer then needed for the acid ball to strike her. She turned her body and her brown eyes grew wide.

Before her stood a man. He was tall, Lily noted. Although he was puny, he gave off the impression of who was in charge. His emerald eyes shown with the fire of 10,000 suns, his lips were curled into a stern look of authority. Lily's mouth gapped open as she stared at his neck, for around it was a choker baring the mark of a red triangle. But in his hand, he did not carry a staff, it was a giant sword that had the symbol of the red triangle on the base of it. It took Lily a second to realize what the red triangle plastered on his body meant. Lily gasped. "YOU'RE AN ADMIN!"

The man paid no mind to Lily as he raised his sword. The monster let out a powerful scream that shook buildings, shattered windows and had Lily gripping the ground for support. To Lily's surprise, the man ran toward the monster. "Hey! Wait! Don't be stupid! That thing'll kill you!" Lily stood up and began running toward the man. "Stop you idiot!"

Something made her stop dead in her tracks. The man raised his sword and made contact with the monster. "BANNED!" Lily heard the man screamed. For a split second, all time stopped. All the sounds and the chaos disappeared around her. She could only see, only feel, that man, colliding with the monster. The chain reaction, the beautiful power that pursed through him and the monster, as if seeing their souls collide for a very instant. A bright light shunned and had Lily turning back and covering her eyes.

A few moments later, Lily dared to get a glimpse of what had happened between the two. She let out some gasp as she looked at the empty streets. There was no monster. There were only she and the man. The sun's enemy had been destroyed and it welcomed it light to bathe over the erupted city. Lily looked around and her heart broke. The once beautiful buildings that had once stood proud and tall were now melting to their bones, the streets, that had once held so many happy people, were now upturned and turned into molten asphalt. Lily took a step toward the man, this had to have been his home, she had to console him somehow. She reached out her hand, even without touching him she could feel the heat of battle pulsating through him. "Are you?..."

He stopped her just as she was about to touch his shoulder. He spun around, as if on wheels, and grasped tight onto her wrist. "You there, state your name and membership code."

"My wha...OW! You're hurting me," Lily cringed as he continued his death grip on her right wrist. "Let go!"

"You are in direct violation of NC code 639." He didn't speak it, but Lily could see it in his stern cold emerald eyes, he was looking down at her.

Why? Because I'm a 'Noob'? "Look Pal! I have no idea what you're talking about! I just stumbled in here....and hey!" He jerked her forward and began pulling her down the street. "Where do you think you're taking me?!"

"Since this is your first offense, I'll have to just give you a warning. But since you are not a registered member here and a situation like that caused major damage, the rules change. You also could have cost many lives like that. " He kept his eyes’ straight, as if she wasn't even worth looking at.

"I did what my instincts told me to do! I can't be a super-hero like you ya know! I had to run." The tears began to build up. Am I going to end up like that man and that monster? Will I be sent back to the Real World, or maybe even oblivion? What's he going to do to me?
He stopped dead in his tracks. "Yeah, Red." He looked up above him as if talking to some invisible person high on the rooftops. Lily looked up as well hoping to see someone, someone who would save her. "I understand. I’ll be right there." He turned to her, his stern facial expression, unaltered. "I am being summoned. I’ll have to deal with you later." He opened up his right palm toward the air and hovered his left hand over her wrist. Suddenly, a rope materialized from his hands, one end tying tightly around her wrist. He walked over to a sturdy looking light post and tied the other end to it. "Now stay here. I’ll be back soon." And with that, he vanished.

"HEY! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME HERE CHAINED UP LIKE SOME DOG! I'LL SUE!" Lily gripped the rope, it looked like ordinary rope but it was heavy and felt like steel. She tugged and tugged but couldn't get the rope to snag. "This is so FUCKING RIDICULOUS!"

Lily slid down onto her knees and stared at the ground. She bit down hard onto her lower lip, trying as hard as she could not to cry. The tears came but they didn't fall. Lily heard footsteps and looked up. Another strange man was walking by her, paying no mind to the girl tied to the light-post and began walking right on past her. He had a basket on his back, like a knapsack, only there was grass sticking out of it. He was wearing dark sunglasses so Lily could not see his eyes. In his mouth, he chewed a piece of hay and wore baggy clothes, there were holes in them and he looked as if he didn't bathe. He had a walking stick with him, but there was no shape or color to it, just a giant stick. He had no choker on his neck. He was just an ordinary man.

I guess any help is better then no help. "Hey wait!" Lily reached for him, her only savior.

The man stopped and stared at her. His parted his lips slightly as if seeing for the first time, a girl next to him tied to a light-post. "Holy crap! A girl tied to a light-post! You don't see that every day." He chuckled to himself as if he had told a joke and everyone got it.

Re: NL the Anime

Lily held back the urge to twitch her right eye. "Yes...well do you think you could help me?"

The man leaned forward and moved the piece of hay around his mouth. "Hmmm...looks like Tallion's work." He shook his head. "Sorry girlie. That's an Admin Rope, I can't even break that. Sorry." He cocked his head to one side, as if trying to give her some condolence. "So what'cha do?"

"I don't know!" Lily sat there and told the tale to the man, hoping that maybe once she showed him that she was innocent, he'd convince this Tallion to let her go.

"Hmmm...," the man played with his chin, as if there was something there. "Tallion is a bit hot headed. I understand the rules and everything, but it just seems like you were in the wrong place at the wrong time." He gave her a smile.

"Yeah! Exactly! I'm so glad you understand me! So you'll help me get out of here so I can go home?" Lily's heart soared. She wanted to get out of this horrid, crazy place and fast.

The man's smile softened. "I'm sorry girlie, but I already told you. I can't break an Admin's Rope."

The tears came again but she fought them back. She leaned her head forward so her hair would cover her face. She didn't want the man to know she was going to cry. "Oh...I see. Well thank you for listening to me at least. That really helped me...."

He reached forward and patted her head. "Hey, come on now! I hate it when women cry." His smile was as bright as the sun, he didn't appear to have bathed in a long time but he smelled of lilacs and hope. "Now, don't go around telling people things, but umm..." He rubbed the back of his necked and looked around nervously. "I can't break it, but you can."

Lily's head shot up. "What do you mean I can break it?!"

He shushed her and glanced around wildly. "I could get into so much trouble if anyone caught me. But you look like a nice kid and if I toss you to the lions, I'd never forgive myself." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, colorless orb, about the size of a baby's fist. "This orb will enable you to turn the rope into water, but only for a short time. I can't use it but since you're not a member, they'll never be able to track you."

"I don't understand."

"Just swallow it. It takes nine seconds for things to pass through from the mouth to the stomach. After that, you'll be able to get into the system and change the structure of this rope, but only once. It's a temporary item. Then once you are free, you must run into the woods." *he pointed to his right. "If they catch you, the punishment will be far worse then what you are about to get."

"What?! What if I do something wrong.."

"The item will take care of everything for you, just swallow it and run that's all you have to do." He glanced around wildly. "Make haste, girlie. Tallion will be coming back for you shortly. You don't have much time."

He stood up and shuffled away quickly, leaving Lily stunned and confused. Her heart beat fast as she raised the tiny, colorless orb. What did he mean that the punishment would be far worse? Was she about to do something that would cost her only chances of going home? Her mind screamed with his final words. Make haste, girlie. Tallion will be coming back for you shortly. You don't have much time. She narrowed her eyes at the orb and swallowed it quickly before she could change her mind. It felt slimy going down her throat, she felt it scrap the walls of her esophagus. She silently counted to nine. "Six, seven, eight, nine." Her body pulsated, she gripped her stomach. "Ew gross! I think I'm going to throw up!"

She looked down at her right wrist. The rope was glowing, colors of blue and red blending so perfectly together. Her body moved on its own. She gripped the rope around her wrist and ripped it off. It exploded into bright blue water droplets that splattered around her as they hit the ground. She was too stunned to move, she was free. Condensation was on her wrist. She heard hard footsteps running toward her and she was snapped back into reality. Now, she was on her own.

The soles of her shoes beat fast against the pavement as she made her way through the city toward the woods where the man had pointed. She stole a quick glance over her shoulder, no one was following her. She didn't want to think about it, she saw it as a blessing and continued to run.

Back at the light-post, Tallion and Mika stood there and stood at the puddle of water that use to be the Admin Rope. "What do you make of it Tallion?" Mika asked, although she already knew.

Tallion snarled and bent down to scoop up some water. He let it run through his fingers, it was rough like sand. "She used a Hacker's item. The girl's nothing but a Hacker." He stood up slowly and glanced at Mika. "Sound the alarm! We cannot let her escape!"

Tallion ran off after Lily, leaving Mika there to stare at the puddle. "Oh Lily, how could you?" Her soft face grew stern. She turned on her heels and touched her green square, sounding the alarm to the other Mods, giving them her description and current location.

The man with the hay in his mouth chewed on it nervously behind a building, watching everything happen. He turned back into the shadows of the building and disappeared into the darkness.

Lily had reached the outskirts of the city. She was so happy. She was free. She was going home. A bright light flew past her and landed just inches away from her. She stopped and turned around abruptly. She cursed herself, she should have kept running. She knew, that he would catch up with her sooner or later.

Tallion held his sword high, the tip of it still smoking from the last blast. "Freeze Hacker! That was a warning shot, the next one will not miss. Give up peacefully and I'll see you are not Permently Banned."

Lily stared at him dumbfounded. "H...Hacker?" She was stuck, she didn't know what to do. She looked up as Mika and a few others she did not recognize, showed up behind him. "Mika!"

Mika's stern look faltered slightly then grew hard as rock again.

"Mika! You know this Hacker?" Tallion snarled, but did not take his eyes off of Lily.

Mika raised her staff to Lily. "I thought I did. Forgive me. I will take punishment for showing her the city after we deal with her." The other mods raised their staffs and pointed them at Lily.

Lily was facing the lions, and they were hungry for blood. But not just any blood, her blood.

End of Chapter 2, hope you all liked it ^^

Re: NL the Anime

Thanks for the feedback guys ^^ I wrote the 3rd chapter, sorry it's a little late was kind of having writers block >.<; I mean, there's going to be so many characters so there's going to be a lot of stories within the main story but i wanted to hurry up and get Lily to NL so we could get the real story going! And here it is! Hope you all enjoy it like you did the last 2 ^^

Chapter 3

Lily took a step back, as if hoping, that would help her escape. Remember what you learned in school. Flight or Fight. Seems kind of unfair that they are attacking with weapons when I have none. Do they think I'm going to use my "hacker powers" to save myself? "Hey listen! Someone gave me that item! I had no idea what it was for, he just said it'd help me!"

"Yeah, help you get out of trouble and ruin our city!" A female mod with a blue circle around her neck, jabbed her staff at Lily.

"If there's one thing, I hate more then Virus', it's Hackers," a male mod standing next to Mika said. He had deep blue hair, tied in a ponytail in the back with a bright green square dangling from his neck. "Hacker's are so pathetic."

"I'm not a Hacker! I don't even know what one is!" Lily pleaded. "Please! I just want to go home."

Tallion stepped forward, his sword still raised. "I will not tell you again. Come peacefully and I'll let you off with only a few years in prison." His eyes narrowed. "Or would you like to end up as that Virus had? Tom doesn't look kindly on Hackers you know."

Lily's heart was racing, sweat poured from her brow. She looked around for anything or anyone who could save her. She didn't know if she could ever get out of this situation. Tallion took a step forward as she took a step back.

Run!

Lily's head jerked up and looked around fiercely for the voice.

Don't stand there gawking! Run!

Lily's heart skipped a beat as she turned her back on them. She didn't know what pulled at her, all that she knew was that she had to escape. Her legs felt as heavy as a ton of bricks as she started to run. She heard Tallion call after her, she felt the heat of blasts around her but she didn't care. She just wanted to go. Adrenalin and pure determination were all that carried her. She was tired from the lack of sleep and food. Her body throbbed and ached. She'd kill to be home right now, even in the Hell Hole with her mother and Mark.

She ran down the beaten path, with Tallion and the other Mods hot on her heels. Her heart stopped for a split second and the voice came back. DODGE!

As the voice faded another replaced it. "PERM BANNED!"

Something, beside her, pulled her to her right and into the forest just as a huge red wave splashed over her. She dove for the bushes and trees, scrapping her leg in the process. She glanced behind her. The spot where she had stood was nothing more then a smoldering crater in the Earth's face. Her eyes were filled with terror. She was still not safe. She picked herself up and continued to run off into the woods, no path to guide her, just her own will to survive.

Mika took a step toward the edge of the path as she watched the figure of Lily disappear into the darkness of the woods.

"No," said Tallion, resting a hand on Mika's shoulder as she went to take a step forward. "She'll be dead before the night’s end. The way she's heading, the Virus's will get to her long before we ever will. It's not worth us risking our lives."

With a heavy heart, Mika nodded and turned her back on the woods with the rest of the Mods as they made their way back down to NC. Up in the trees, hidden by the shadows, the man stood there and looked off into the distance to which Lily had run.

Lily ran. She didn't stop running until her own body made her collapse. She lay there, sprawled on the cool ground, gasping for air. She rolled over onto her back and stared up at the sky. The sun and the moon were doing their evening battle. The blood and energy from both were colliding in the sky to create a beautiful scenery.

Lily sat up on her elbow and looked down at herself. Her clothes were torn from the trees branches. Her knees and palms were scrapped from the dive she took, but she was so tired that only numbness held her close. She was cold and hungry and tired. She lay back down as her eyelids began to grow heavy.
I just want to go home.....please. Someone . . . Anyone...help me.

Lily was awakened by a twitching on her nose. She opened her eyes slowly and glanced up at a small creature with red hair like fire on top her face. She lay there for a second, taking it in, then sat up abruptly and slapped the creature away.

The little creature, no bigger then her foot, flopped down at her feet and bounced slightly. Lily laid there, her eyes opened wide starring at the creature. It stood up and rubbed its head, with a scowl on its face. It had small little hands, no fingers. On its back was a gored with a star on the back of it. He wore mostly brown and his eyes shun with such a bright green, it lite up the night sky. It had a mean look on its face but Lily could tell, it wasn't that much of a threat.

"He...Hey little guy." Lily reached her hand out to pet the thing. It hissed slightly and took off running.

Lily looked around. The moon was high in the sky but it was slowly disappearing. The sun and moon were always in a constant battle, and tonight the sun was winning. The moon sat there with a bite taken out of it, its blood filled the sky with its blackness. She stood and dusted herself off. She was no longer numb, everything about her body ached.

Re: NL the Anime

She felt a slight thump against her leg and looked down. It was the small, red-haired creature thumping its head against her right calve. It let out a low growl and continued to pummel her leg. "Hey! Cut that out!"

She picked the creature up by the back of its collar and held it close to her face. She was angry and hungry. The thing looked edible. She stared deep into its eyes and her heart softened. Instead of tearing it to shreds and eating it like some crazed animal, she held it close to her bosom and caressed it. "It's ok."

The creature did not fight back, just sat there and allowed her to pet him. He lifted his chin when she scratched underneath there. He was like a little kitten, only with a human's face.

A twig snapped and the creature's head popped up. In some language that Lily could not understand, it began to speak and rabble onto her as if she understood. It jumped from her arms and ran behind her. With all it's strength, it pushed against the back of her legs, beckoning for her to move.

Lily understood right away and scooped up the creature and ran away from the noise. She heard thumping behind her, footsteps pounding fast. "I swear to God!" Lily screamed. "If one more thing chases me, I'm going to go crazy!"

The creature in her arms jump up onto her shoulder and peered over. It gave a slight sound of surprise as a giant hog creature came charging close behind them. It was closing the gap fast, the creature had to do something. The red-haired creature leapt from Lily's arms and charged head first for the hog monster.

"Oh no!" Lily started to stop. Another voice came into her head, but it was dark and misunderstood. No, run! I can handle this! You must escape!

Lily's eyes grew wide. It wasn't in her head, the creature had spoken to her. With weight on her heart, she kept running, leaving the tiny creature to fight the hog monster.

The moon was weak from its battle with the sun, and the clouds easily took it over. The woods grew dark, Lily couldn't see two inches in front of her. She kept running, running straight into the darkness. Darkness was all around her. There was no light, there was no sound, only the sound of her own breathing.

A bright light in her face had her shielding her eyes. Is it another monster? Lily thought.

"Oh my God! I know right!" Lily heard a female voice from afar.

"Totally. He was all like 'you know right?' And I was so totally like, "OH MY GOD! I KNOW RIGHT?!' ya know?" another female voice replied.

Lily crept forward and peered from behind a bush. Two girls were walking on the path. They both were denim shorts and red T-shirts. It was if they dressed alike to be cute. Both had their long purple hair tied high and tight into two pigtails. Lily thought was that she had winded back at NC again.

"Come on Chrissy! I have to get home before mom gets tweaked at me again!" One girl said to the one called Chrissy.

"Molly, your mom is totally like W.T.F!" Both the girls gave off high pitched giggles as if what they said was the funniest thing in the universe. They spun around their flashlights as if they were swords.

Lily took a step forward onto the path and both of the girls shut up instantly. Lily looked at their shocked expressions and looked down at herself. Her clothes were torn and dirty, there were twigs and piece of dried mud in her hair, she was cut and bloody and she was sure she smelled like a pig. "Umm...errr....hi."

Both girls took a step back. The one called Chrissy plugged her nose. "Ew...what hole did you crawl out of?!"

"Please. I need your help! Tell me...where am I?!"

Both girls looked at each other with puzzled looks. Molly spoke first. "Well dur to the extreme!" She made an "x" with her arms, Chrissy mimicked the action. "You're in NL!"

Molly walked a little further, with Lily and Chrissy following. Lily's eyes grew wide as a city began to emerge from the horizon. The moon had grown too weak to stand through the night, the sun came up behind the city easily. The tops of the city sang to her as the sun bathed over the dark woods. Lily stood speechless. Something about the city was calling to her. There was something about NL.

Hope you all enjoyed the 3rd chapter, I wasn't as pleased with it as I had hoped but I kind of rushed it to get to the main story T.T Sorry guys but it was just buggin me ya know? I plan on getting started on the 4th right away ^^

Re: NL the Anime

hey guys, thanks for all the comments again ^^ Umm the reason why I rushed chapter 3 was because, well last night i did basically an outline of the whole story ummm yeah even with taking everything out I'm looking at about 40 chapters @.@;;; If only I cared enough about my school work xD. Anyways here's the 4th chapter. And, i won't sugar coat it. this bitch is freakin long o.o;

Chapter 4

Molly made an "L" with her index finger and thumb across her forehead. "Baka!" Said Molly and Chrissy at the same time, and with that they walked off.

Lily stood there and watched the city, as if expecting it to get up and move. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to go into the city. She wasn't sure if this NL was any different from NC or not. But her aching body urged Lily to move forward. It demanded a nice hot meal and a shower by any means necessary. Lily wasn't sure what that could mean but, with pain in every step, began walking down toward the city of NL.

There was a toll booth connecting the beaten path to the city streets. Lily walked up the window not sure if she could get in since she wasn't in a car or didn't have any money. A lady there with a bored expression on her face was chewing pink gum, rather rudely in fact, cracking tiny bubbles and chewing like a horse would a carrot. "Please state your register Member ID code and password," the woman said without looking up from her magazine. She had her bleached blonde hair tide tight into a bee-have with thick rimmed, red glasses on. The woman's nails were so long and sharp they probably could have cut glass. They were painted to match her red pencil skirt and blouse.

"My what?" Lily tried not to be rude and stare at her obvious liver spots on her chest.

The woman sighed as if this was such a chore for her to do her job. While she turned a page, she slid Lily over a stack of papers. They were assorted colors of pinks, blues and greens. "The pink papers are your registration forms. The blue papers are just the rules that you must read and sign before handing them over. And the green papers are basically just agreeing that if you are caught Hacking or not obeying the rules of the city we are eligible to punish you for the crimes to what seems fit." The woman went back to chomping her gum, blowing a bubble and popping it, filling the air with a strawberry-kiwi scent. Lily looked around. She didn't want to join anything. This place was almost like NC, what if they were hunting her down?

Again, without looking up the lady tossed her a pen. "Hurry up. I'm extremely busy and want to clock out here soon before I turn old."

Lily looked down at the first form. State your name. Lily looked up at the lady and smiled. "This shouldn't be to hard right?"

The lady paid no mind to her but in her head, Lily knew, she was thinking of calling her a 'Noob'. What was with that stupid word anyway? Did it mean she was inferior or something? Surely if they were hunting her, the lady would have at least been on the lookout. Wouldn't she?

Lily walked over to a nearby tree and leaned the papers on it to write on. Lily put the tip of the pen on the paper and moved it down creating a vertical line. Lily could hear the scream of the paper as she cut it open, its black blood writing her name for eternity. She moved her pen fiercely on top of it, hoping to make the papers death quick.

Lily stopped midway and slapped herself. She was caring about paper dying! Man. She really did need a good nights sleep and some food. Lily continued to fill out the papers, unsure what it meant to 'join the city'.

As she was writing, a man with charcoal skin and dark as night eyes walked by her. He nodded at the lady in the toll booth and she raised the black and yellow bar for him. Just as he was about to cross over, he did a double take at the lady in rag clothing filling out NL papers. She wasn't very tall, he noted. She had long, light brown hair, he was sure it would have looked pretty if there wasn't dirt and twigs in it. The man walked around to get a look at her face. Her eyes were dark in the night sky, but they shun with the moon's light deep within. She didn't have the shape of a super model but there was still something nice about her look. It was like she didn't care what others thought of her, a strong woman. He wasn't sure what it was but there was something about her, something that made him actually break the words out. "Umm....Hi."

Lily shot her head up and looked at him, surprised. "Oh! Umm..Hi." She smiled and stuck out her hand. "Hi, I'm Lily."

"Horus." He took her hand but didn't take his eyes off of hers. "So, you're a Noob, eh?"

Lily's smile turned into a scowl and her eyes narrowed. "I'm not a Noob!"

"Of course you're not. Of course you're not." He watched her turn around and hand the papers back to the lady. "Look. I’m sorry for that comment." He walked over to her and leaned against the toll booth. "Can I make it up to you? Buy you a nice hot meal, give you a bed to sleep in."

Lily's eyes grew wide. Those all sounded nice. She looked at him through the corner of her eye. "I'm not that kind of girl just so you know."

Horus took a step back as if stunned by what she had said. "Nononononno, I'm sorry if I gave off that impression. I would never ask you to do something like that of course."

Lily raised an eyebrow at him while she waited for the papers to be processed. Once again, the lady did it without much enthusiasm. "Then what could you possibly want from me? Normal people don't give strange women beds and meals without wanting something in return."

"How about a friendship? Just one night is all I'm offering. Of course..." Horus shrugged his shoulders. "If you want to sleep on the street that's also fine with me. Hey, I was just trying to be a nice guy."

Lily sighed. If I just keep on my toes with him, a nice hot...well...EVERYTHING, sounds good right about now. "Okay Horus." Lily stuck out her hand. "You got yourself a deal. I promise not to be to much of a burden."

Before Horus could accept her handshake, the lady reached through the toll booth window and stuck Lily's hand with some sort of gun with a needle on it. "Member Identification Code: Lily229 Password ******" She said with a bored expression on her face. "Welcome to NL." Finally, she looked up and gave Lily and Horus a giant smile. Lily could tell it was forced and fake.

The lady re raised the bar for them and they walked through. "So," said Horus breaking the ice. "First time in Tom's Cities I take it."

Lily hadn't noticed, but she was looking around her as if seeing this place for the first time. It wasn't like NC, NL gave off a more quiet mountain town kind of impression then a really big city. "Umm...I guess you could say that."

Horus nodded. "Yeah, NL is mostly residential. But there's this place, in the middle of the city called 'The Forum'. Meh," He shrugged his shoulders as they turned down a street with houses and white picket fences everywhere. "It's ok. It's not great. It's not bad, but ok."

Lily stopped walking as he turned up into the yard of one of the picket fences. "This is where you live?" She looked him over. He looked high class but this house didn't match his personality. He wore a light red sweater and baggy jeans. His sneakers looked expensive. He turned to her and shrugged his shoulders again. Lily thought he did this a lot.

"Yeah." He stuck the key into the keyhole. "Me and my 'rents live here, but they're out right now."

"You mean...families actually live here? Together?!" Lily was astounded. Maybe she could convince her mother to come live here instead of with Mark.

They walked into his house and into a room to what appeared to be the living room. He turned and looked at her. "Lily, I bet you're wondering how three extremely huge cities are built here and only a few people know about it huh?" He smiled as he walked into the kitchen to get them something to drink.

Lily didn't sit. She was afraid of dirtying the furniture. Although, she wouldn't be surprised if there was plastic on them. "Actually kind of, yeah."

Lily229 02-19-2007 04:09 AM

Re: NL the Anime

He walked back out with two bottles of water. "I thought open drinks might make you nervous." He tossed it to her and she caught it like it was as fragile as a baby. Without a moments hesitation, she ripped off the lid on the bottled and chugged the water. She pulled the bottle from her lips and panting for air, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. She stopped and looked at Horus's stunned expression, she must have looked like a wild animal.

She burped loudly and immediately slammed her hand over her mouth. "Excuse me!"

He shook his head and sat down on the couch. "Yes, well." He tossed her his water. This time she took it slowly and drank with some dignity. "You know the Real World can be difficult. Tom created the cities here, away from such things like jobs and Government yada yada." He rotated his hand around in a circle to empathize. "Here, we don't have money. Everyone uses the same currency known as the 'Point System.' It's basically the same thing if you ask me, if you don't have any points, you are out on the streets."

"How do you get points?" Lily asked, squatting down, her legs were aching. She could feel the softness of the carpet through the soles of her shoes, it felt so nice.

He patted the seat next to him and she obeyed. "By, yes you guessed it, a job!" Horus rolled his eyes. "Tom claims that it's not like the Real World, but technically isn't he the Government, and the point system is basically just like money?"

Lily nodded in agreement. "Sounds to me like it is." She gently touched her knee. "Hell, and I thought real life cops were rough. These guys have fucking lasers!"

Horus shook his head. "Not lasers Lily, those lights you see are basically like their souls. When a person becomes a Mod or Admin or whatever, they are basically selling themselves to the Devil."

"For power?"

"No," Horus was starring hard at the floor, as if thinking hard enough would burn a hole in it. "To protect those around them. I take it you've had encounters with Mods before. Don't let those ones fool you, those who abuse their powers are jerks. Mods were created to protect us, the members. But there are some, like most humans, who use that power for their own selfish needs."

Lily thought of Mika just then. Her final thoughts of Lily must not have been nice ones and that made her sad. Mika was truly nice, she was a good Mod. "What did you mean then by 'They basically sell their souls to the Devil'?"

"When a member becomes a Mod, their soul becomes their power, it's basically altered. They don't tell us members this, but I've got some connections. The power comes from within them, they say it's the symbols but it's really the Mods themselves. The symbols are just there to pull the power from them. That's how they can get tired or hurt. The staff is a channel created to guide the energy to the target. They aren't human anymore, basically like super humans."

Lily's lips parted slightly in amazement. "Does it hurt them?"

"To use the power? No, not to my knowledge anyway. It would just make me feel cheap is all. Like selling my body I guess." He shrugged his shoulders yet again. "Anyways, you probably want to clean up. The bathrooms down the hall, and I'll see what I have for you to wear."

Lily flashed him a bright smile and gave him a tight hug. "Thanks, Horus. I hope we can stay friends for a long time."

He nodded and smiled. "Expect a nice hot meal when you get out as well. Hmm?" Horus stood as he heard that doorbell ring. "That's probably P. Nuckle, that shit for brains."

"P. Nuckle?" Lily looked at him confused as Horus went to open the door. A small boy was standing there. Right away he gave Lily the impression of Dennis the Menace. Bright blonde hair, a few freckles Add in red suspenders and you'd have a copy of Dennis. He had a sweet smile on but there was wickedness in eyes.

Horus shooed Lily away with the flick of his hand. "Hurry and go get cleaned up. Help yourself to anything you need."

Lily nodded. "Thank you, I truly don't deserve your kindness." Lily walked down the hall and into the bathroom, making sure to lock it. "Can't be too careful."

As Lily began to undress, she spotted herself in the mirror and almost screamed. It was worse then what she could have imagined. She had bruises and scraps covering most of her body. A few of the Mod's attacks at NC must to have made contact, for her back was slightly scorched. She gently peeled off her shirt and the smell of burned skin and hair made her nose hairs stand on edges. She gave a few dry heaves, how could anyone have shown her such kindness looking as she had. She couldn't tell what was caked on dirt and what was her skin. Even her eyes showed pain. Lily turned on the water scorching hot. She took a deep breath and clenched her teeth as she dove right in. She gripped onto the wall of the shower and held back a scream of pain as the steaming hot water burned her wounded body.

Lily looked down at her feet where the water gathering in the drain was turning brown with mud. She took deep breaths, sucking in every piece of steam in there, trying to clean out her body on both the inside and the outside. She let the heat beat down on her head, it stung slightly from where the man had pulled her down, but she didn't care. The ecstasy that came with the hot shower was enough to drown out the pain. "Ah shampoo, how are you old friend?" She smiled down at the Herbal Essence shampoo that smelled of roses and cleanliness.

She was in there for what seemed like ages, she didn't want to leave. She stayed in there until the water ran cold and her fingers numb from the water. She turned off the shower but stood there, letting the steam sink deep into her skin, healing her wounds. Lily rubbed her finger tips together, they were prune but they made her feel alive.

She stepped out and began to dry her body off when Horus knocked at the bathroom door. "Dinners ready if you are. Your clothes are here outside of the door."

Lily had forgotten where she was. She now felt guilty for using up all his hot water on herself. She wrapped a huge pink, fluffy towel around herself and opened the door. "I'm sorry." He looked at her as if she was a whole new person. "I used up all the hot water." She bent down and picked up the clothes and nodded. "Thank you." She closed the door to get dressed.

His lips were partly slit at the site of her. Without all the dirt clinging to her, her natural pale skin was able to shine through. She reminded her of a pearl how her skin glowed in the light. Horus shook his head as P. Nuckle came up behind him. "Hey Horus, who's that lady anyway?"

"Her name’s Lily. And.." Horus grabbed P. Nuckle in a head-lock. "Didn't I tell you an hour ago to go home?!"

"Ow Horus!" P. Nuckle cried. "You big mean jerk!"

Inside the bathroom, Lily held up a package of unopened boxes. "Wow, he really knows how to make a girl feel comfortable." She happily dressed in the blue shirt and white shorts he had provided. She graciously used the hair brush he provided for her to comb her hair. It was mangled from not being brushed the past few days but after a while she got it. She looked back and picked up everything that was hers and stuffed them into the trash can, cleaning as she went. They were no use to her now, nothing but old dirt rags, she planned on going home tomorrow morning anyway. With a big smile on her face, Lily walked out of the bathroom to find Horus setting down her plate of hamburgers and french fries.

"Sorry I'm not a gourmet, but it's food right?"

Lily’s mouth watered, she was sure Horus could see it. Remain calm Lily ol' girl. Show that you have some dignity left. "Yes, thank you Horus. How can...?"

He interrupted her by pushing her into a chair in front of the food. "You can start by eating that and saying what a great cook I am." He smiled widely down at her.

Lily returned the smile as she began to gorge on the seemly never ending supply of hamburgers and fries. She didn't even worry about ketchup, she just was so grateful to have something in her empty belly. She licked the juices off her fingers. "That had to be the best meal I've had all my life!"

"Damn straight." Horus chuckled as he picked up his plate. Lily looked out the window, the sun had risen it was already light out. Between the shower and the food, time had seemed to stand still for her. Lily gave a huge yawn. "Tired? I've already prepared my bed for you. I'll sleep on the couch so you can have a lock."

Lily229 02-19-2007 04:11 AM

Re: NL the Anime

Lily wanted to sleep, but in her own bed. She shook her head and silently cursed herself. A warm bed in ages and she was being picky. "Ungrateful bitch," she muttered under her breath.

"What?"

"No...Nothing!" Lily stood and rubbed the back of her neck. "Thank you once again Horus, I want to repay you someday."

Horus waved a hand to push the idea out of her head. "For real Lily, don't think anything about it."

Lily nodded and turned to go back to the bedroom. When she got in there, she went to lock the door and thought herself silly. After all the kindness Horus had shown her, it left her guilty that she was locking the doors on him like some criminal. Lily was too tired to ponder the thought and decided to just leave it be. She crawled into his bed, he had gone out of his way to change everything for her so it was fresh. She was asleep before her head hit the pillow.

Later that night, Lily woke up to her body screaming in pain and throbbing. Even with the hot meal and shower her body did not forget about the pain. Lily's stomached ached as she tried to sit up. She turned her head and looked out the window. The night sky was full of stars that shone down brightly. The moon was broken and bleeding but it gave of a happy light that Lily wished to bathe in. Lily, gently, put her legs over the bed as her bare feet made contact with the soft blue carpet. It was like a drug, this feeling of happiness and security.

She crept slowly into the living room and spotted Horus sleeping soundlessly on the couch with the tv light flashing over his face. A small trail of drool snaked its way down his cheek. Lily looked at the clock on the wall. It said 12:58am. She tiptoed outside, in her pajamas and barefoot. She didn't care, she was just happy to be alive. She decided once around the block would be enough. As she started walking, she had a feeling that she wasn't alone and kept looking over her shoulder. She heard footsteps fast behind her and spun around quickly to spot whoever it was. But when she went to turn back around, she bumped into someone that had her falling unto her back looking up at a dark figure.

"My bad, girlie." It was the strange man from NC! The man extended his hand to help her up but she slapped it away. "Now come on, is that anyone to treat someone who only wants to help you?"

"You nearly got me killed!" She jumped up onto her feet and went nose to nose with him. The lilacs smell was still there.

"I told you the punishment would be far worse. Besides they couldn't kill you."

Lily clenched her fists tight. "What do you want anyway?"

The man sighed and shrugged. "If you're going to be that way then I don't think you deserve my help."

"I don't need your help. Horus took me in and..."

"Yes but you cannot even trust him can you?" The man interrupted. Even with the shadows covering his face, she could tell he was smiling. "Besides, don't you keep reminding yourself that you're going home? What will he mean to you in twenty years?"

Lily raised her eyebrows, a little fearful of him now that he knew so much about her. "Who are you?"

"I'm just a friend, girlie, is all. I know you're still sour about what happened to you. I don't blame you really. I would be angry if people did that to me. Treated you like a dog didn't they?" He saw her expression soften slightly. "What if I told you, I have a way to completely fuck with Tom and those bastards? What do you say, girlie?"

"I don't know..."

"I mean, you do plan on leaving here shortly. So why not leave your mark? Show Tom that his self-proclaimed perfect society is nothing but a sham?"

"But what about everyone here..." Lily looked down at the ground, wishing he'd just go away. He put his hands on her shoulders as if to hold himself steady.

"No one will get hurt, I promise. Just a little hacking and.." Lily's eyes grew wide, she gritted her teeth and pushed him off.

"Hacking?! Hacking’s what got me into this mess in the first place! I appreciate what you've done for me but I have to head back now."

She turned on her heels and began stomping off back toward Horus's house. "Such a shame Lily, really it is. Here I thought you were different."

She stopped abruptly. "I will not be a pawn!"

In an instant he was in front of her, it had her stepping back. "Don't think of yourself as a pawn, think of yourself more as an eye-opener. Horus said it himself, these places aren't sanctuaries, they are the same as the Real World. But most people can't see that. Open their eyes Lily, free them from this blindfold of a perfect world."

He took her left hand and held it loose in his hands, but it was firm with determination. "Think about it." He said as a silver bracelet appears on her wrist.

Her eyes opened wide as he dropped her wrist. She starred at it dumbfounded. "What do I do with this?"

"If you do not use it within 24 hours, it will disappear and it'll be as if we never spoke."

"What do I have to do?"

"Nothing, just think of this as us being even. I will ask you to do nothing and you are not expected to do anything." He flashed a wicked smile. "Just be yourself."

In a blink of an eye, he was gone, leaving Lily standing on the sidewalk starring at the bracelet he had given her. It had a few charms on it. It was a pattern of white lilies and black roses. Lily went to go pull it off but stopped herself. "I won't be a pawn in your little game. I won't use this bracelet." She looked up at the night sky, promising the moon. "I won't."

Re: NL the Anime

hey guys, here's chapter 5. Once again fucking long as hell but I'm really happy with it ^^ and hope you guys are to.

Chapter 5

Lily walked back toward Horus's house, the bracelet jangling on her wrist, a constant reminder of that conversation. It kept playing over and over again in her mind. Why hadn't she ripped it off and thrown it back at him? She cursed herself all the way to Horus's house. She reached for the doorknob and nearly had a heart attack when the door flew open. "WHERE THE HELL IS THAT FUCKER?!" Horus's eyes were wild and angry as he searched the street and lawn.

Lily fell back onto her butt, scared for her life. Was he screaming at her because she had left him even for a short time? Her first reaction was to grab the bracelet and see what it would do. She cursed herself once again, she could fight on her own. She didn't need some Hacker's item to save herself.

"MY FUCKING MAILBOX!" Horus ran up to the mailbox on the edge of his lawn, completely ignoring Lily sitting on the ground next to him. The mailbox was dented in and leaning toward the right.

P. Nuckle stuck his head out of a window next door. "Who the hell goes and checks their mail at midnight anyway?!"

Horus shook his fist angrily at him. "You'll pay for my fucking mailbox with your fucking teeth!" Horus grabbed a pine cone laying next to him and chucked it at P. Nuckle, hitting him directly in the forehead knocking him back.

"OH MY GOD!" screamed Lily as she ran over to Horus. "How could you do that to a little boy?!"

"Little boy my ass! He's nothing but the fucking devil." Horus dusted himself off and looked at Lily. "Relax. We do this all the time. Neighbors are always calling the cops on us."

Lily gave him a fake smile. "Oh well that's cool, I suppose. Err...What are you doing out here anyway?"

"I'd like to ask you the same question." Horus nodded in the direction of P. Nuckle's house. "Idiot called me and told me to go check my mail. I knew that he had done something. Looks like he bashed it with his fucking baseball bat. You?"

"Just wanted to get some fresh air." Lily put her hands behind her back. She wasn't in the mood to explain to Horus how she had acquired that bracelet.

Horus shrugged, that was getting on her nerves. "Seems fair. Come on, it's late and looks like he'll be out for a while. Lets go back to bed.”

Lily nodded and followed him back into the house. Horus and Lily said their good nights and parted ways. Lily could see he was tired, probably didn’t sleep all day like she had. She crawled back into his bed and laid there, staring out the window at the moon. She watched the battle between the moon and the clouds while fingering the bracelet. Every time a cloud would come close to the moon, the moons ally, the wind, would come and blow them away. The moon and the wind. One a drifter, and the other stuck forever in the never-ending battle, yet without each other, neither could exist. Is it because the wind helps the moon push away the clouds that the moon is now indebted to it forever? Does the moon know what it’s like to be a pawn in the winds ploy? A lot of people love the sun but misunderstand the moon, does the wind see that and feed off of it? She rubbed a lille charm between her index finger and thumb, it consoled her somehow as she drifted off into a restless sleep.

She was awoken in the morning by the sun. It pounded heat on her face as if demanding that she love it as well. She shielded her eyes from it’s unforgiving glare and caught a glimpse of something else. The bracelet dangled on her wrist just inches from her face. A black rose charm twinkled in the suns glow.

Horus knocked and opened the door a few inches. “I’m glad you’re up. Come on, you’ve slept long enough.” He opened the door all the way and tossed her some clothes and shoes. “I have some stuff to do at the Forum and I think you need to get out and meet people.” He closed the door to let her dress.

Lily got out of bed and ran her fingers through her hair. Nothing felt real anymore. Everything has happened to fast. Her mother was probably worried sick about her, she had made no attempt to actually get home in fact. Such a sudden change. Lily wondered if she was the only one dealing with this. “Like fighting an uphill battle with the sun,” she whispered as she slid off her pajamas. Most of her wounds were healing nicely, even the giant burn on her back. It was if by magick. Lily was tired of being surprised by this place, so for her to be healed so quickly didn’t shock her. She put on the black T-shirt and jeans Horus had given her. She could tell these were his. Putting on a belt and tucking in the shirt made them not as baggy on her. Lily couldn't find her hair brush, so just loosely put it into a ponytail behind her head. She slid on her tennis shoes and walked out of the bedroom.

Horus was in the kitchen with pancakes already set out for her. “Hurry and eat so we can leave.”

Lily sat down and quickly began to devour her breakfast. Horus starred at her, amazed. “You’re going to get sick if you keep eating like that.”

Lily looked at him with her cheeks full of food and a few crumbs on her chin. “Hmmm?”

Horus rubbed his temples. “Nevermind. You almost done?”

Lily swallowed and nodded. “Yep, lets get going.”

They left the house and began their walk towards the Forum, the neighborhood was booming with happy families. Lily smiled and nodded at P. Nuckle when they past him on his scooter. “So what is this ‘Forum’ anyway?” asked Lily as they approached a giant building.

“It’s one of the biggest attractions here at NL. It’s basically a place to hang and meet people.” Horus shrugged and opened the gate to Lily. There was one of each kind of tree in the front of this place, even some Lily had never seen before. There were people lounging under some, others had put up tire swings and were playing with others who were at the top of the tree. Lily did notice though, that people from every nationality and age was there. She thought of it like a crayon box. There are so many colors and textures to choose from but in the end it’s just another color that paints the world. “Come on,” said Horus taking her right wrist and leading her past everyone and into the building.

It reminded Lily of High School. There was a long hallway straight ahead where people were also chatting. There were mini hallways that branched of the main one and there were signs everywhere for advertisement and direction on where you’re at and where’s you’re going. To her left was another hallway leading to what looked like a bazaar. To her right was another long hallway ending with what looked like a cafeteria. It seemed so confusing and easy to get lost. A few feet a head of her was a door that said ‘PM ROOM!’

Lily229 02-20-2007 12:19 AM

Re: NL the Anime

“Hey Horus, what does PM mean?” asked Lily as he continued to lead her through the maze of people.

“It means Private Message. That’s the room where if you want to contact someone. Say they aren’t in the same part of the building as you and you need to get a hold of them, that’s where you go. No one can read them but you though. That’s where your ID and password come in handy. We have lots so it’s always easy to get to. Hey!” Horus called and waved at a few people. “Look, I have a few things to take care. PM me if you need me, but just go out and have fun. Try some shit out.” Before she could say anything he ran off and was lost in the crowd.

Lily looked around her. She wasn’t all that sure on what to do. People were pushing and shoving, she couldn’t get through. She was getting claustrophobic. She felt like a piece of cloth in a tornado, spinning around wildly letting the wind carry her to where ever. Someone bumped into her back and she let out a scream of pain..

“Watch where you’re going Noob!” The person turned around and screamed at her, just inches from her face.

Before Lily could say anything the person was swallowed up by the crowd. Someone took her hand and began to pull her out of the crowd and against the side. Pressed against the wall she looked up at her savior. He was a man of average height, he had dark almond shaped eyes. He wore loose jeans and a red T-shirt with it, and she could tell through his shirt that he had muscles. He looked so kind to her. “Are you alright?” He had a thick British accent but Lily understood so perfectly.

Lily nodded and took a few deep breathes. “Thought I was a goner for sure. Thank you...”

“Daisuke.”

Lily smiled back at him. “Thank you, Daisuke. I’m Lily.”

“New here I take it?” He chuckled slightly.

Lily’s body tensed slightly. She was sure he was going to call her a Noob again. Was it that obvious she had no idea what she was doing? “Yeah, you could say that. I’m not all that sure as to what I’m suppose to be doing.”

“Why not go make an Introduction Thread?”

“A what?”

He took her wrist and led her down the crowded hallway and off to a branch. There were a few people in there but not like what was outside. “See these message boards? These are what we call ‘Threads’. It’s basically to voice your opinion and stuff for people who aren’t here when you are, understand? This way, you leave a mark that people can reply to without you having to be right here. It’s pretty simple once you get the hang of it.” He pointed down the hallway. "Of course, if you are here and wish to chat with someone about a certain topic here in NL. At the end of each hallway are lounges where you can sit and chat with others."

Lily blinked at the empty board. "So how do I do this exactly?"

Daisuke came up behind her and pointed to a small control panel next to the board. "See this? The orange button is how you start a new thread, the green is how to submit it, the blue means you can edit it and the red button is how you cancel or delete it."

Lily was so confused. She didn't understand the point in this place one bit. She heard Daisuke's voice behind her. "Yeah. I'll be right there." She turned around but didn't see anyone but her and Daisuke. "Sorry Lily, I've got to go do a couple of things. You stay here and I'll be right back ok?"

Daisuke was running off down the hall before she could reply. Lily turned back to the empty board and chewed on her bottom lip. "I'm pretty sure I can do this..." She reached forward and touched the orange button.

It made a small sound then all went quiet. Oh great! thought Lily I broke it already! Just as she thought that, a small keyboard popped out from under the board. Lily had to take a step back to avoid getting hit by it. Lily looked around, she wasn't all that sure what she was suppose to do with the keyboard. She shrugged her shoulders and began typing anything.

'Umm...Hi. My names Lily and I'm new here, like most people like to point out, so be nice to me and hope to have a great time here!'

Lily pushed the green button and in an instant, the keyboard went back into the wall with her message in it. She looked up at the board, it wasn't empty any longer. It was her message, written forever in stone or whatever this material was made out of.

Use it now.

Lily's head perked up at the sound of the voice. She knew, almost instantly, what the voice was telling her to do. "I will not use this bracelet!"

Use it now or you will never have another chance. No one is looking and you've made your mark as Lily229 here, let someone else have some fun.

Lily gripped her head. "I said I will NOT be a pawn in this plot. I won't use the bracelet. I won't!" But she could feel herself faltering. She wanted to know what the bracelet would do. But she also knew, that if she used it, it'd be with her forever. I can always get rid of it. It's not like it's going to be attached to my wrist forever, right?

Lily could feel the heat coming off of the bracelet. It wasn't from the bracelet itself, Lily noted, it was coming from the charms. The black rose charms. Lily looked around. "Just for a second. No one will know I used it and everything'll be alright. The second it's over with, I'll throw the bracelet away. I'm not obligated to do anything."

She ran a fingertip lightly over one of the burning charms. She clenched her eyes shut, waiting for it to blow up in her face. After a few seconds, Lily opened her left eye and peered at it. Although it was still perpetrating heat, nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. The walls around her turned into a spiral of colors and shapes. She felt dizzy as she clenched her stomach, she thought she was about to throw up. A tingling feeling shot up through her arm and hit her body. Am I going to die?! her mind screamed.

She hunched herself over as the walls of colors and lights came crashing down on her like a wave in the ocean. She was being swept up, the light was to bright for her to open her eyes and see what was happening to her body, but she could feel it. Her body was on fire, burning through her clothes, ripping her hair tie from her head tossing her hair into a whirlwind of tangles and curls. She let out a scream, she was scared for her life!

Re: NL the Anime

Then everything went dark, and the ground came up to greet her. She sat up slowly, her mind still spinning from the trip she had just taken. Her body felt refreshed, as if she had just been born again. She looked around her, everything seemed the same, except her hair was in her face. She pulled her left knee from under her to steady herself as she stood. She gasped as she looked down. She wasn't in her own body anymore, at least it didn't look like she was. Her knee was exposed, but not because of a tear in her jeans, she was wearing a black mini skirt. Lily stood up and looked down at herself.

Her skin was so smooth, there were no blemishes or dents like before. Just milky white skin gleaming in the sunlight. She was no longer wearing Horus's baggy red T-shirt, but nice black shirt with a fairly nice black, lace vest over it. She was wearing knee high black boots, they looked expensive. Her finger nails had grown and were shiny like diamonds. She looked over at a window at her reflection. It was her face she saw, but her eyes had changed. No longer mysterious like the moon, they burned with red hot determination like a 1,000 suns. There was something about her that made her hate herself.

"I don't understand..." The bracelet was no longer burning, no heat was left, it was just an ordinary bracelet.

"Hey Lily I....oh.." Lily shot her head up and looked down the hallway as Horus came running towards her. "Oh, sorry. Thought you were someone else. Damn you look a fucking lot like her."

Lily raised her eyebrows at Horus. Does he not recognize me? she thought.

He cocked his head to one side and looked at her as if he had truly never seen her before. "Mind if I ask you what your name is?"

Lily looked down at her bracelet, a black rose gleamed in the sunlight. "Rose."

Horus stuck his hands in his pockets and rocked back and forth on his heels. Lily could tell this was an awkward moment for him. "Well Rose, you wouldn't happen to know a girl by the name of Lily would ya? Her member ID code is.."

"I know what her member ID code is," she snapped. What was she doing? Why was she acting like this Rose person was real? It doesn't matter, she thought confidently. Once I go back into my normal body, I'll chuck this bracelet away.

Horus glared at her. She gave him a sweet smile. "I'm sorry, that came out all wrong. I was wondering, have you seen her?" The smile was plastered on her face, she couldn't get it off.

"No, not really. Who are you to her anyway? You guys look a lot alike."

She had to think fast, she didn't want to let out the secret of the bracelet, she didn't want to get into trouble again. What if he went and told everyone that she had a Hackers Item on? She didn't know where she was or which way her home was, she needed to find that first before they found her out. "We're twins!" Lily coughed trying to steady herself. "My name is Rose, and Lily and I are twins. She ran away from home one night and our mother asked me to go out and look for her when I stumbled across this place and decided to look for her here." She was good at lying, she had practiced over the years with her mother.

Horus shrugged his shoulders. "Seems fair enough to me. If I see Lily I'll tell her you're looking for her." He turned around and began walking off. "See ya around Rose, hope you and your sister decide to stick around longer."

Lily held her breath until he had turned the corner. She leaned against the wall as she let out the breath. "Ok, I'm done with this completely." She gripped onto the bracelet and began sliding it off.

"Oh hi, didn't see you there." said a voice beside her.

Lily stood frozen with her fingers wrapped tightly around the bracelet. She looked up to find a beautiful woman standing next to her. Her skin was smooth as stone. She had dark hair and skin with eyes like dark pools of water that Lily thought she'd drown in them if she starred to long. She was tall and slim and her voice was like an Angel that rang sweet music in her ears. The woman had the kind of voice that made you wish you could listen to her voice forever.

She was a Goddess in human form, her hair was long and shiny black that draped long past her narrow hips. She had red cherry lips that made you feel good, like a popsicle on a hot summer day. Her skirt, a mix of bright, festive colors, made you sick with envy as they clung to her thighs. Her shirt, a simple brown blouse, but on her, it became more. Lily noted that she had soft brown open-toed sandals on with her toes painted a festive red. She wore golden hoop earrings and lots and lots of rings, Lily felt like she was the Godmother and she should kiss them to bless herself. Lily thought of a little boy opening a new toy for Christmas, you were just so egar to find out what made it tick.

"Hi." Lily forgot where she was for a moment. The Goddess standing in front of her, her smile brightening even the darkest room.

"I'm Mistress." Mistress extended her hand to Lily. "You must be new here, you have very pretty eyes."

Lily smiled. "Hi, I'm Li...Rose." She had almost forgotten what body she was in. "My name is Rose, and thank you very much Mistress. You're very pretty as well."

"I heard there was a new person down here and I decided I'd come down to greet them. It's nice to meet you Rose."

"Oh well, the person you must to have heard about was my sister, Lily." Lily nodded toward the thread she had just created. "I'm just here looking for her, but plan on leaving here soon."

"Oh, well if I see her. I'll be sure to tell her that you're looking for her." Mistress pulled off one of her rings and placed it into Lily's hand. "You're a very nice person, Rose. I hope to see you again and have more time to spend with you."

Lily blinked down at the ring. "Oh thank you. I'm sorry that I don't have anything to give you in return." It was a simple silver band with a soft green jewel embedded down into the middle of it.

"Think nothing of it, Rose. You seem like a very special person is all."

Lily felt a sharp pain in her gut that had her doubling over in pain.

"Rose! Are you alright?!"

She felt her body become ablaze again. She couldn't let Mistress see her as she changed. She had to run. "I...I have to go!" She didn't say goodbye, she didn't look back. She just took off running down the hall and into the sea of people.

This time, it was she, who was the one bumping into people and telling them to move. She felt nauseous and dizzy, she wasn't sure if she could find her own hand in front of her face at the moment let alone somewhere quiet. She somehow grasped her hand onto something solid, a doorknob, and pushed her way inside. Thankfully no one was in there as the fire took over her body again. She opened her mouth to scream at the pain but no voice came. She dug her nails into the flooring, trying to find her balance and mind set. It felt as if her eyes were no longer there, just smoldering craters of pain. She wanted it to end.

The room was spinning just as it had before, wind from no where was coming from all directions swallowing her up, tossing her around like she was a lost sock in the dryer. Everything went quiet once again as she landed softly on her knees. Her eyes were crossing as she looked down to find Horus's baggy clothes on her once again. She gritted her teeth and ripped off the bracelet. But before she could chuck it across the room darkness swept over her and she feel unconscious to the floor.

End of chapter 5 ^^ I'm hoping to get a few more new characters introduced in the next one, I think that's what I'll mostly focus on. I hope no one got confused with the whole Lily/Rose thing. I'll do better next time, either way it was kind of confusing. Well see ya next time ^^ Hope you all liked it.

Chapter 6

Lily awoke to being shaken slightly. She licked her lips, her mouth tasted like new coins.

“Lily, are you alright?”

Lily opened her eyes slightly and gazed up at Daisuke, who was crouching down next to her. His eyes were filled with worry and concern. She lifted herself up slightly, having to lean on Daisuke. Her body felt heavy and her legs like water. He led her over to a nearby chair and sat her down.

“Can you hear me Lily?” Her eyes were glazed over and she was swaying slightly.

Lily blinked a few times, trying to focus. “Daisuke?” Lily stood up quickly; she had to dispose of the bracelet. She swayed once again, feeling something knocking against her wrist. Timed seemed to stand still that very moment. The bracelet she had torn off was back on her wrist. She took a step forward. Her head was swimming with so many thoughts and emotions at that very moment, it was easy for the darkness to try and overtake her once again. Just then, strong arms caught her, as she was about to fall. They held her close, their breathing and heartbeats joined as one.

“Easy now, Lily,” said Daisuke as he held onto her. She leaned against him, soaking up his warmth and smell. She could have died happy at that very moment, not even the bracelet seemed as important as this.

Just then, then the door flew open with a powerful kick, and four men materialized in the doorframe.

“You know, H_I, those doors do come out of your paycheck,” said the smallest of the men. His eyes were hidden under a blue beanie. He wore a rather large cobalt and white robe with flip-flops. His shoulders were hunched over as if there was something heavy upon them.

The one called H_I looked a little older then the rest of them. His skin was dark and smooth like a piece of freshly cut wood. He had a muff of black hair un-top of his thick head. His eyes were like black pebbles that you just wanted to toss into the pool of his mind and watch the ripples unfold.

H_I chuckled. “Yeah, but Tom can suck it for all that I care, Xiro…. Oh. Sorry, Daisuke, didn’t realize you had company.”

Daisuke rolled his eyes. Lily hadn’t realized until then how they must to have looked to others. In fact, she didn’t even know where she was. She pulled back, but Daisuke grabbed her shoulders as if ready to grab her if she decided to take another dive. She rested her hands on-top of his and smiled up at him. “Thank you, really. But I’m ok now.”
She could easily lose herself in his dark eyes. She didn’t know how long they had starred at each other, nor did she care. The magic was broken when Xiro coughed. “Well, this is awkward. We’ll just leave you two alone now.”

“You guys don’t have to leave,” said Lily. “Daisuke was just helping me out with a few things is all.”

“I bet he was.”

“Shut up, Anto,” snapped Daisuke.

Anto was a little on the husky side, with short, curly brown hair. He dressed proper, as if at any second something big and important might happen. He wore a light brown button-up shirt and pants, and shiny, black shoes that you could see your reflection in. On his right arm he had a black band tide tightly around it. He looked to be about Lily’s age. “Hey, I was just making an innocent observation.”

H_I elbowed the remaining man. “Hey, I thought we weren’t allowed to get any while on the clock. Ain’t that right, Shino?”

Shino shrugged. His blue eyes were glazed over and his face, expressionless. Lily could tell her didn’t care much about personal matters of other people, and she had to respect that. He had light brown, curly hair that hung from his head like a veil. His hair and beard though looked trim but at the same time unkempt. He wore loose blue jeans and a white T-shirt. There was nothing special about him; he was just an ordinary man, yet there was something magical about him.

Lily put her hands on her hips. “For your information, I was getting sick and Daisuke came to check on me. Just because he’s a gentleman and the rest of you aren’t is no reason to lug him in with the rest of you,” she snapped.

The five men looked as if they had just swallowed a lemon. H_I gave her a thundering laugh. “My, aren’t you a feisty one.” He winked at Daisuke and gave him a thumbs’ up.

Lily was about to make a comment when Daisuke stopped her. “Don’t bother. There’s no way to reason with these tools.”

Anto and Xiro stuck their tongues out at Daisuke, which had him shaking his head. Lily nodded and looked around. She gave off the expression as if she was just now realizing that she was in a strange room with five strange men. “Where are we anyway?”

“This is the IRC Room,” Daisuke replied. “It’s basically just a room off the west wing of NL that people come in and chat. But it doesn’t have to be about a Thread of hell, anything that has to do with NL. Just a room to hang.”
Lily looked around again. “You’d think that it’d be more popular then this.”

H_I came up to her and placed an arm around her shoulder. He reminder her of a father figure, which was the only reason she didn’t slug him just then. “Not many people know about it. Daisuke advertises it like crazy but no one wants to get away from the hassle of NL and just relax. Welcome to the IRC Room, Miss. Population: Us.” He gave her a wink and a smile as if this what he just said made it cool.

Lily returned the smile and stuck her hand out to him. “My names Lily by the way.”

H_I took her hand and kissed the back of it. “Truly a fitting name for a beauty such as yourself. My name is Hokage_Inuyasha, but my friends just call me, H_I.” He nodded his head over towards the others. The tiny one’s Xiro, next to him are Anto then Shino. They’re ok most days.”

Lily waved to them, only Shino didn’t return the gesture.
