120 Days of Sodom by Marquis de Sade really makes my day.

To be honest, you can find life lessons to some degree in most good books. Just don't read some shit like Conversations with God. Try Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Not a self-help book or anything, but nevertheless, it motivates you.

Why do you read anyway? Reading is gay.

^ reading is NOT gay >.>

i'd reccomend for girls:

~'Just Listen' by Sarah Dessen - sticking with family through hard times
~'The Two Princesses of Bamarre' by Gail Carson Lavine - being couragous, believing in yourself, and sacrificing everything you have for someone you love

For anybody really:

~'The Giver' by Loius Lowry - memories should be kept forever
~'The Falconer's Knot' by Mary Hoffman - You need friends to trust, but be careful of the secrets you tell
~Anybook out of the 'Thoroughbred' sereis - never give up, no matter what odds are against you
~'The Theif Lord' - even if you lie for a good cause, it will backfire on you

hope i helped ^_^
tell me if you need more, i just named the ones off the top of my head
