Dorian Gray

There's a high possibility this won't get commented because it's all snuggled up in some obscure subforum but itdoesn'tbothermereally

Basically penguin publishers sell "draw-your-own-cover" books, and I got one for my birthday. The book is The Picture of Dorian Gray .

So yeah, that's how I've always envisioned him; masculinely chiseled yet still bears a sense of femininity.

Oh. And do that thing where you cover half the face. Do it : D

First, awesome fucking book. Though my version already has it's own shyte cover on it. ._.

Second, pretty good drawing. I especially like the eyes, they've got that innocent feel to them. Shading is great though I think it might work better if you either made the background darker or shaded in his hair.

Third, do these books allow you to also do the back cover? If so, do you think you would be able to draw his portrait as it is at the end? At it's worst. o.o I would love to see that.

I swear that is almost exactly how I see him except I imagined him with longer hair and his lips were a bit different. Good drawing though.

I love that book. I read it last year and Oscar Wilde's writing style easily became one of my favorites. I honestly hated Dorian though. Every character in that book was extremely retarded. You have the idiot hedonist Lord Henry and the stupid blind following Dorian. Dorian decides to believe whatever sounds sophisticated and reaps what he sows.

Also I tend to think of colors that resemble certain books after and during I am reading them. Does anyone else doe this? I tend to get the color of dark purple from this book.
