He did have some manly qualities. Setting aside the fact that he went to his death knowing he was going to die bastardized by his Jewish brethren and closest followers, he took the torment and torture like a man.

1. Before he was brought to Pompous Pilate, be was beaten half to death by Jewish priests. Upon being brought to Pilate, Pilate (being an honorable man who questioned the death of an innocent man) was told by Jesus that he had no power over him. Jesus did not beg for his life nor did he complain to a mortal man that he was being treated unfairly.

2. He took the abuse of the Romans which was torture and horrific by any one's standards, and held his head high even physically exhausted and broken.

3. He kept his composure all the way to the end. Even so much as chatting with the other people being crucified.

What makes it even more tragic is that the people of that day are as fickle as the ones today. He preformed miracles, fed thousands, healed many, and proved himself to be more than a normal man. The Jewish people thought that their Messiah was going to conquer the Roman government's control over them as if he were Goku or some shit. When he allowed himself to be captured, the Priests were able to sway the people to vote to kill Jesus than a horrible criminal. They were singing his praises and all home-boy "you're the messiah!", then he doesn't fulfill their ideal messiah archetype.

If he even killed one man, he couldn't allow himself to be called the Son of God, a pure lamb of God.

He could not rebel as it would set a bad example against
Titus 3

1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Happy celebration of the Goddess of the Dawn that the Christians stole from the pagans... like just about all their holidays. Fuckin' thieves.
