The man looked over his shoulder at her, his smile turned into a disappointed frown. “You really are ungrateful aren’t you?”

She clenched her fist. She was on her own; if she called for Daisuke she’d have to explain who this strange man was. And hell, Lily didn’t even know. “Who are you anyway?”

He spun around in a circle, like a child playing a game. “I’m just a friend.”

“You’re no friend of mine.” She snapped.

“Oh?” the man stopped spinning and stared at her. “I’ve done nothing but help you to reach your full potential. I’ve helped you out numerous times, and I ask for one favor and suddenly, you’re not so quick to help me.” He pouted at her. “If anything, you’re not a very good friend to me, girlie.”

“Full potential? Are you saying I’m some kind of fucking genie pig?”

The man flashed her a wicked smile. “Come now, we both know you knew what you were getting into when I first asked you to help me. Don’t play so innocent. I wouldn’t ask a fool to help me.”

Lily held up her left palm and starred at the bracelet. “I don’t want it.”

The man shrugged. “Fine, then I’ll take it back.” He lightly touched the bracelet on her wrist before stopping and looking directly into her eyes. “I’d just hate to be you when people find out there was no Rose. I wonder how Daisuke would appreciate knowing that you were the one who caused the Virus attack today. He got you out of trouble this time, but there’d be no saving you from the serious of this felony.”

Lily’s heart beat fast. She pushed down the lump in her throat and returned his gaze. “Daisuke will be my friend no matter what.”

The man tugged the bracelet gently. “Whatever you say Lily. But know this.” His gaze turned stony. “Black Rose has already touched lives, it might be to late to reverse the process.”

She tugged her arm back but he snatched her wrist. “I’m not a Hacker like you!”

He gripped hard then release and chuckled. “Hackers aren’t bad people, Lily.”

Lily rubbed her wrist, the bracelet jangled like a constant reminder. “Why do you hate Tom so much?”

The man stopped laughing and hissed at her. “Tom is a useless piece of trash.”

“You seem to avoid answering questions a lot.”

The man reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of hay. “Yeah, my mother always told me that too. I never did like getting into trouble.” He chewed on the piece of hay.

Lily ripped off the bracelet and shoved it into his hand. “Take it back.”

The man shook his head. “Can’t do that. You used the bracelet.”

“You said I wasn’t obligated to do anything!” She starred down at the bracelet. A white lillie charm dangled in the moonlight.

“You’re not obligated to do anything for me,” he replied. “But the bracelet has chosen you, girlie. It’ll only go away if someone else takes if off for you. It’s a very rare item.”

“So, if I get Daisuke to take it off for me, then it’ll go away.”

The man shook his head. “They’ll have to take it off during the transformation. The bracelet will become disrupted and with explode.”

Lily’s heart sank. “What are the chances of you doing for me?”

The man shook his head. “Sorry, but I have other plans in store for you.” He took a step toward the window. “Good luck with that dream, Lily.”

He turned his back on her, and something snapped within. She charged for him and tackled him to the ground. She ripped off his hat and sat back. He had giant brown eyes. She had seen these eyes before. She had seen them when she looked into Tom’ eyes earlier today.

Lily lurched backwards as she felt a sharp, hard pain in her stomach. She landed on her back with a thud and gripped her stomach. The man stood up, huffing, his eyes ablaze. She tasted blood in her mouth as she coughed for air. Her vision was blurry as she looked up, but she could still see the outline of the man hovering over her. He bent down and gripped her left wrist, pressing the bracelet charms against her skin. She heard popping sounds and she began to thrash as he started to snap her wrist.

The pain flooded over her like a wave in the ocean and she couldn’t hold back the scream. She heard Daisuke’s footsteps running down the hall. The man bent down and put his mouth directly over her ear. “Don’t ever try that again,” he hissed. “When the time is right, Black Rose will be born again. When that time comes, you won’t be able to fight the urge. You’ve already been branded.” He pushed her to the ground.

Her body jerked as someone grabbed her. She opened her eyes to find herself in Daisuke’s arms. “Oh my God, Lily. What happened?”

She moved her wrist a little, it throbbed with pain each time she tried it, though. “I just had a bad dream is all.”

Daisuke cocked and eyebrow at her. “Are you sure?”

Lily sat up and nodded. She gritted her teeth as pains in her stomach and wrist pulsated through her body. She smiled at him, as if nothing was going on. “Yeah, sorry to have woken you.”

“It’s fine. Probably just the fumes from the Virus earlier today.” He started to help her up but she stopped him.

“I’m just going to sit here for a second, the floor’s cool and soft, but thanks.” He shrugged his shoulders and walked out the door. The second she heard the door click she lifted up her shirt. She let out a hiss of breath through her teeth as she gingerly touched the hand shaped burn mark on her stomach. His last statement pounded in her mind. You’ve already been branded, but branded by what, Lily was afraid to find out.

Well there's the end of it, hope you liked it ^^. Like I said, it went with the story but it was more of a filler to me. I promise 9'll be better @.@;
