The forest grew quiet. Lily saw out of the corner of her eye as Verm burst through the opening and watched in awe like the rest. “I don’t really know, honestly. I guess it’s because those people who you want to try to hurt so much, have done nothing wrong. They’re lost and instead of helping, you want to push them aside and make way for your own desires. My mom always did that to me, and I always hated it.” She felt the thrashings give way slightly before starting back up again, Tallion was growing tired. “I guess I just want to help those that are lost, because…I was once lost too.”

She felt her sweaty hands give way from the staff. Tallion jerked the staff high above his head and Lily lost her grip and slid off. Before she could retaliate, she felt the cold hard steel of the bottom of the Admin Staff, slap across the right side of her face, then the ground decided to slap her on the other side as she landed. Blood rushed into her mouth, the sweet smell of new coins and dirt entered her nostrils.

“Lily!” cried Daisuke.

Tallion heaved out a breath and wiped his sweaty forehead. “It’s like the blind leading the blind is what you’re telling me!” he screamed. “Those people aren’t lost, they’re just stubborn!”

Lily sat up slowly and spat out a wad of blood. She spun around, tears in her eyes from the pain, but she kept her voice steady. “Why should they have to change just because they’re an inconvience to you?” Verm looked a little taken back by that reply but he did not speak. Lily stood, slowly, keeping her eyes focused. A small trail of blood dribbled down her cheek as she spoke. “These people who you claim are so bad have lived here peacefully since before you were even born. This is their home, it’s not Tom’s place and it sure as hell isn’t yours, to take that away from them.”

“Well said, Lily.” Replied Sakatsu stepping through the bush. Her eyes faltered slightly when she saw the blood on Lily’s mouth then down at Daisuke’s bleeding neck. He was swaying softly on his knees, the loss of blood and energy making him dizzy. “What…”

Lily held up her hand. “Don’t worry about it. I’ve been beaten by bigger things.” Lily cracked a smirk at him. "And you, Tallion, can take that however you wish.”

A few of the Mods and Hacker’s chuckled around them at Lily’s joke. “You think this is a game?!” Tallion hissed.

“You lost this game a long time ago, Tallion,” replied Lily leaning down to help Daisuke up. “Just go home.”

Tallion came up behind Lily and held his Admin Staff high above his head, ready to strike down on her and Daisuke. His eyes wild and full of repressed anger. “You can’t tell me, Tallion the Admin of NC, how to do his fucking job!”

Lily snarled at him. “I think, I just did.”

Sakatsu flung her guitar around front and held her fingers at a B flat along the neck of the guitar. “Tallion, back down now while you still can walk.”

“Are you threatening me?” asked Tallion, turning his body just enough to see her. A few of the Mods raised their staffs.

“Yes,” replied Sakatsu most definitely, a few of the Hacker’s behind her also took the same stance.

“Sakatsu…”

“I’m sorry Lily,” said Sakatsu cutting her off. “But I can’t sit back and let this maniac just do as he pleases. He wants a fight, then we of the Crimson Village will give him one. Pablo. Cleo. See to the wounds of each of them back at the Village while we finish this.”

A small girl with bright yellow hair tied loosly with a pink scruchie ran up and slid her hand into Lily's. "Come with me," when she smiled Lily saw two of her front teeth missing. Judging by the girl's age, Lily assumed it was because the girl had lost her baby teeth. "I'm Cleo. Pablo has your friend."

Lily blinked. "You have a Pure Mark, don't you?"

Cleo, still showing her frontless teeth as she smiled, nodded happily trying to tug Lily along. "Yeppers. Me and Pablo will get you two all welly nelly."
Lily turned and watched as the little black haired boy, Pablo, miraciously lifted Daisuke. "Whoa."

"A side effect on the male Pure Marks." Cleo shrugged. "Super strength, go figure."

When Lily and Daisuke were cleared from the middle of the battlefield Sakatsu stepped forward. "I wanted peace, I didn't want any bloodshed. But after watching you abuse your powers and innocent women, I won't let you walk away unscathed." She held her hand above the mouth of the guitar.

Tallion spun his Admin Staff in his hand. The red gem at the top gleamed merioucly in the afternoon sun. "You savages should just give up now."

Lily stopped, her legs refused to move. Cleo tugged at her arm. "Come on, we're not suppose to be here!" Cleo cried.

I'm not strong enough to stop them, thought Lily, slowly turning around to gaze at them. She could hear the rushing of everyones blood, each waiting for someone else to make the first move. Lily knew, if she waited to long to act, that Tallion and Sakatsu would both be wiped out. "I have to stop this!" Lily cried running toward the middle of them.

"Call of the Blue Hound Echo!" cried Sakatsu, slamming her hand down hard onto the cords of the guitar. A solid blue wave shot through the mouth of the guitar, thinned out and sharpened it's point at the end, shooting straight for Tallion.

"Perm Ban!" Tallion cried barely brushing the tip of his Staff against the dirt. Like flint to a fire, a spark ignited a giant yellow ball of energy that countered the spear of blue energy heading for him.

“Stop it!” cried Lily running toward the middle of the war zone as the two powerhouses shot toward one another.

Verm, who stood behind Tallion with his arms crossed, was the first to notice Lily. “Stop!” cried Verm gripping onto Tallion’s shoulder to pull him back.
