Because it's common sense. Everyone would be virtually butt-buddies if no one got offended.
Also, that way of thinking is totally unfounded. If I walked up to some random lady, and called her a slutty, cum guzzling whore, of course she would get offended. There's no other way to look at that except as derogatory and offensive.
