He's used fire Ninjutsu, so it should be fair to assume he can't just use one. Morning Peacock proves how good he is at using his Ninjutsu.

He can use Ninjutsu, and it's definitely a fair assumption that he knows more than one. He can also combine Taijutsu with Ninjutsu which I haven't seen anyone else do without help.

That never happened, at least I didn't see it happen.

The whole point is it'd be all too easy to do something like that

Oh please, Gai is a shinobi who can shut out his emotions if necessary. He could kill his entire team if he was required to, and I don't doubt it.

You're telling me that Gai isn't fast enough to dodge Neji's strikes? I doubt Neji could even get in a single strike, and even if he did it wouldn't be a big deal as there are many more points in the body. And the 64 points attack, give me a break, this is operating on the assumption that he stands still throughout.

I have to agree. Just because Kakashi could defeat Gai, doesn't mean that Gai couldn't defeat his students. I think the team would have a chance against Kakashi, but that's another story.

They do missions together, it's clear that Gai is the strongest one there, see eachother every day. He has plenty of time to study Neji's tendencies. The opposite is true as well, but comparing Neji's experience as a Jounin to Gai's is laughable.
