I heard this on the news when it happened, and I have to say-- I think it's great. Although it's a shame that the man was killed (even though he probably deserved it for attacking someone), I think it's just awesome to see a kid protect his mom like this by killing the attacker. I haven't seen or heard of such a thing before, so I was kinda happy when I heard about it.
