Don't give me that bull about trying to prolong your life, means that you fear death! It common sense that you want to hold on to the people and things closest to you, and dieing would directly conflict with that. I don't fear death, although I do hate pain. I think that running to save your life is the same as running to save someone elses. You're still saving a life, and just because it is yours doesn't mean that you fear death it just means that you value your life just as much as you would value a person you would try to save. You have courage to face life and try to live it, not necessarily fear of death. Death is controlled by God to me, so when death comes, it will be by his will.
