Hey now, I saw more hints for Kataang than Zutara and I watched those lessons you shared with us. I liked the parallels that were drawn between Zuko and Katara, but in all honesty, they were all stretching it a bit... basically they assumed to know too much about how the creators structured the show (with all those pairing parrarels that were shown, like Katara/Jet, Yue/Sokka).
Zuko and Katara seems less realistic to me, in comparison to her and Aang. I finally finished the first season and I'm even more certain of that than I was before. Aang and Katara's bond is very strong and solid... not the case for Zuko and Katara.. <.<;
I mean, going by the show, Zutara would have made less sense than Kataang... and realistically too. Katara and Aang are two years apart, same as my best friends parents. And guess what? Those two met when he was 11 and she was 13. He had a crush on her first, and won her over in time. Just as Aang did with Katara... besides that, Aang isn't your typical 12 year old emotionally or mentally.
