When I read that he "won" over Sasuke, I'm now leaning toward Maddara lying about everything too.

Also, why do you think Sasuke wants to attack Konoha? I'm guessing that sine Sasuke thinks Itachi was forced to kill his clan because of Konoha, he wants to get...revenge(?) on konoha for Itachi's misery of killing the Uchiha Clan. (just a thought...)
