I think if Naruto didn't exist, she'd develop a thing for kiba. He's like a Demi Naruto. Hinata likes people who are strong, outspoken, and kind. Who else fits this description in Naruto? Strangely enough, Sakura might fit strangely into this slot. If naruto had never existed Hinata may have looked up to Sakura as a roll Model. Not to imply a yuri outcome but i just think that's how it may have happened.
