Sociopaths, for instance, are that was due to their nature, it usually has nothing to do with how they are raised. They could have been stricter with him, yes, but in the end it was his decision; Good parenting doesn't always stop, or the lack of create, shit like this.

If he was sociopathic, it probably wouldn't have been too difficult to notice to anyone who was actually paying attention to him. Yes, was his decision in the end, but the way that he was raised determined his mindset, and the logic he used to make that decision.
