Just an FYI, if you want to type or read in Japanese, go into the language section and get the East Asian languages. Also, look for a detailed description on how to do it. It can be a real pain in the ass. haha.

For Windows:
Control Panel > Regional & Language Options > Change Keyboard/Input Method > Change Keyboards > Add
Then just select the language you want to input text with.
