He didn't f*ck the character up. He created more depth, Nagato is giving everything he has, body, mind excet.... personally I feel sorry for Nagato. His ideals are taking him down a path of short cuts. He wants peace so bad that he would rather dustroy eveything rather than help mold what is already there. < This is what I think Naruto might come to realize. He knows that true peace is a long and hard road, but to truly acomplish it you must help people find the way, not force them.
It seems that Kishi is giving us the same characters over and over again. By that I mean that the basis of the main charaters has the same template. The only diferance is what each one decided to do with their life. Naruto, Sasuke, & Nagato are all the same. Parents are dead, bad things continue to happen, and yet each one has gone down a different path.
