The real question is the angle at which Pain stabbed her. If he had stabbed her through the center of her torso we would have never seen the blade sticking into the ground. If Pain stabbed her at an angle that lets the blade leave her side beneath her arm pit then we do get to see the blade leaving her side and piercing the ground. The other question would be why would Kishi show such a confusing picture when he could have included her whole body in the frame and shown her stabbed through the chest. I think Kishi is having fun playing with peoples' emotions.
