All that is known of the Raikage's abilities is super human strength, not unlike that of the current Hokage, Tsunade so it is therefore possible that he is a skilled taijutsu user like Tsunade. At his introduction he smashed a stone table while holding some huge weights in the other hand without any difficulty. He also seems to be very powerful, seeing as he deflected the Eight-Tailed Beast which was sealed inside his brother at the time. He is also very fast as Killerbee said he was faster than him while using hachibi chakra.
