I like the Dominance idea, but the Kyubi is too bad ass just to have someone push him around. I think there will come a time where there might be a mutual respect. Or even an alliance. Whom would the Nine tails hate more then the 4th Hokage? The only other person that has beaten/controlled him.

I think his hate for Uchiha Madara will drive the Kyubi to help Naruto master his chakra.
