Re: Naruto Fan Fiction Thread!!
“Why does Zig get to be a captain of his own team while we have to follow Sarutobi Sensei,” asked Taishi. “Yeah, he’s not better than anyone of us,” said Shitai. “Oh, please,” said Midori. “Oh brother,” said Laya. “Don’t be mad,” said Zig. “Gosh, he’s living it up,” said Laya.
“Hiro believes that Zig has what it takes to lead a team. And since he’s a jounin, he is a very important person in this village. Due to the tension going on right now, we can’t afford to have that many Jounin leave out, as if someone were to strike, our Jounin would be out on missions. That’s why Hiro must remain in Konoha. How’s that for an answer Hokage,” said Sarutobi. (Shikamaru nods his head.)
“That’s exactly right. Just have faith in Hiro’s choice. He wouldn’t give him such a task if he weren’t up to it. Right Hiro,” smiled The Hokage. “Do your best Zig. Do your best Nila and Laya,” said Hiro. (Nila and Laya look back at the smiling Hiro.)
“Sometimes he can be such a dork,” sighed Nila.
“Have you guys nailed the location into your heads? Follow the maps we marked to avoid potential hotspot that may be SNA hideouts,” said Shikamaru. “I guess it really isn’t safe out there anymore. Shun and I noticed that when we were ambushed, perhaps we walked into hostile territory,” said Nila.
“Good deduction Nila. Do your best, I’ll tell your mother only good things,” smiled The Hokage.
(The Hokage hands Sarutobi a scroll.)
“Give this to the Tuchikage. After you guys secure the borders, ensure that he gets this. He needs to know the truth,” said The Hokage.
“Why can’t we just send in a messenger pigeon,” said Taishi. “The Earth village probably suspects us of foul play, they’d probably ignore it without showing proof after what just happened. That is why the Hokage is sending you guys to take care of border patrols. It seems we’ve been infiltrated,” said Shikamaru.
(Scene switches slightly ahead into the present however, behind the current time they are somewhere in a forest. Zig proposes something.)
“Sarutobi Sensei, shouldn’t we use the reverse Eagle Formation,” said Zig. “What the hell is that,” asked Shitai. “Pulling shit out ya ass again Zig,” questioned Taishi. “If you’d shut up, perhaps you’d learn something,” said Zig. “This kid is sharp,” thought Sarutobi. “Midori, how do you deal with these idiots,” asked Laya. “Hey,” yelled Shitai. “What was that,” Taishi curtly replied. “They’re teammates, so I manage to put up with them. Zig is really amazing isn’t he,” said Midori. “He’s definitely something,” said Laya. “Zig is Zig,” said Nila.
“Guys, listen up so he can explain. I’m tired of teaching at the moment. Listen to him, he’s the teacher right now, so show him respect,” said Sarutobi. “Alright, when there are three or at least two trackers as well as highly experienced shinobi (Shitai and Taishi smiles when they hear that. Midori snickers after looking at them.) as well as inexperienced shinobi ,” said Zig as he looks over at Shitai and Taishi.
“Hey, what do you mean by that,” said Shitai. “Arrogant fool,” said Taishi. (Midori starts smiling.) “If you guys are done,” said Sarutobi. “Thanks. Anyway, the weaker shinobi stay in the middle while the stronger ones stay on the outside to protect the inside and back up the rears of the scout which is in front. The Scout in back notifies what goes on from checking what goes on behind the backs of the entire troop. The shape for the formation, gives an Eagle shape,” said Zig.
“But you called this a reverse Eagle formation,” said Taishi. “It is because we have three trackers if you count the dog, and since the dog can’t communicate as effectively as a human in regards to distances and positions up ahead, it goes in the back. (They all agree besides Laya with that previous statement in regards to the competency level of her pet, Inokichi.)
Nila and Laya are excellent trackers; they go in the front, which forms the tail instead of the head due to their positions lob siding the formation, which makes the dog as the head, though it is positioned in the back. In movement, it appears as though the Eagle is moving backwards from top view. That my friends is why it is called a reverse Eagle Formation,” said Zig.
“Nice work Zig. The Eagle formation is used by dual teams with trackers and strong shinobi to effectively avoid upcoming threats as well as defend accordingly if an ambush is coming and is unavoidable. The survival rate is 30% higher than just running around all confused and cluttered because it takes into account of the team’s skill set and abilities to preserve each others’ lives during an ambush. I’ll guard the far left and Zig will guard the far right. Nila and Sakuya will go in the front, while Inokichi will go in back, and the rest of you guys go in the middle and I swear to God if I hear just one complaint about positions,” said Sarutobi. “Fine, hmm,” said Taishi. “Ehh,” groaned Shitai.
“I’m fine as long as Zig can protect me. Isn’t that right,” mentioned Midori as she winks. (Zig blushes.) “Not only does he gets to be a squad leader, he is on a team with two girls,” said Taishi. “Heh, he even bagged Midori, the unapproachable witch,” said Shitai. (Midori bloodies Taishi’s face as she turns around.) “WRONG ONE. AHHH,” yelled Taishi. “Some brother you are didn’t have to sacrifice us both! NOOO AHHH,” yelled Shitai. (Midori bloodies his face too. They both look extremely pathetic. Everyone sighs.)
(The Scene switches back to the present. They continue to rush across the plains in the Reverse Eagle Formation.)
“It has been several hours since we’ve set out. Let’s set up camp here,” said Sarutobi.
