Re: Naruto Fan Fiction Thread!!

(It is eary dawn as the two Konoha teams traverses across the Earth Country’s terrains.)

“Hey sensei! I’m really tired,” said Shitai. “Yeah. We’ve been walking for hours, can we just take a rest, I feel I’m about to pass out,” said the yawning Taishi. “Hang in just a little longer guys… Don’t be the only ones draggin us down,” said Sarutobi. (He looks back to see if anyone else is drowsy, every quickly shapens up to avoid embarassment; he soon sighs as he turns back around. As they continue to slowly proceed, Nila notices something.)

“Umm, Laya. Inokichi is falling behind,” said Nila. (Laya turns around and rushes back.) “Laya, where are you going, we can’t stop yet,” yelled Sarutobi. (The scene swiches to several yards back, Laya is trying to move her collapsed companion.)

“Come on boy, just a little further… You got it bad don’t you,” said Laya. (Everyone arrives near Laya.) “Ahh, poor thing, can’t even budge,” said Midori. “Now that’s the idea,” said Shitai. “A nice nap would be great,” said Taishi. “We should leave the mutt behind,” said Zig. (Everyone looks at him. Nila then slaps him in the face.) “OUTCH,” yelled Zig. “How could you be so cold, I’m ashamed,” said Nila. (Everyone then sighs.) “Laya, I’ll carry him, we aren’t going to let this inconvience slow us down,” said Sarutobi. “Wow, thanks… He’s a big boy, so don’t throw your back out,” said the worriying Laya.

“Woof,” barked Inokichi. “Gotcha boy,” said Sarutobi. (With his strength, he gives Inokichi a piggy back ride. They soon pick up the pace, as sweat starts to drip down from Sarutobi’s face.) “Man, me and my big mouth. Oh, I’ll carry this big oaf… This huge overgrown dog is wearing me down,” thought Sarutobi. (Everyone takes notice to Sarutobi’s fatigue.) “Look at em. They way he’s breating and sweating… Pathetic,” thought Zig. “Sensei and his macho attitude, he needs the rest more than anyone of us,” thought Midori. “Sarutobi Sensei, there’s an inn just ahead; we should rest up and leave for the Rock Village in the afternoon,” said Nila.

(Sarutobi gets excited upon hearing Nila’s discovery.) “That’s a brilliant idea,” yelled Sarutobi. “Sensei, I thought we needed to get a move on,” said Taishi. “Yeah, yeah,” said Shitai. “Well we need to be at our best! If we just burn off all our energy, we won’t be fit for what’s ahead,” said the seemingly joyful Sarutobi. (The girls of the group laughs as the guys sighs from hearing Sarutobi’s response just shortly after him being all gung ho just moments ago. The scene soon switches to inside a well built inn. Two old married couples greets them from behind the counter.)

“Sorry for waking you, we just need some rooms, see we are extremely exhausted and have been traveling for nearly two days straight. We would greatly appreciate it if you could lend us your beds, don’t worry, we come with cash,” said Sarutobi.

“Look darling, adventures. We hadn’t had customers in a long, long while,” said Old lady. “Shinobi ehh? Back in the day I use to be a shinobi too. Long nights, no sleep, I almost passed out during one of the enemy’s raids. Oh, how you fine upstanding kids bring me back to the bright and shinning days of my youth, like a fresh spray of morning dew in the morning,” said Old man. “Oh, darling, you were so handsome back then. You were like my kunai that fought all my troubles away,” said the smiling Old lady. “Oh, hunny,” said the Old man. (They kiss, while everyone is grossed out. Zig then walks up to the counter.)

“Ok, sack of dust (everyon does a face palm), we need rooms! Can we get prices,” said Zig as he smacks his hand on the counter. “Oh, sorry, we tend to get a little carried away talking about the past, you see we only have a short time left, and like to cherish every second,” said Old man. “And he means every second,” said the Old lady. (Everyone is horrifyied as they generate mental images.) “ROOMS NOW,” yelled Zig. (The scene switches to the guy’s room. Taishi and Shitai are sharing a bed, as they lay knocked out. Zig stares at them from his bed as Sarutobi comments from the floor in his sleeping bag.)

“You know they really look up to you,” said Sarutobi. “Them, nahh. If so, they wouldn’t talk to me the way they do,” said the smirking Zig. (Sarutobi smiles.) “They respect you. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have listented to you during the mission. Anyway try not to take their comments to heart. Give them enough time as you spend more missions with them so you guys know what it is to rely on each other’s talents in battle to survive. They’ll come around. For now, just get a few hours of sleep,” said Sarutobi. (Sarutobi closes his eyes and dozes off.)

“I guess maybe I’m just jealous of them. After the war, my parents died and my brother was sent off to the SNA. I was told not to say anything about it, but the thoughts of my immediate and rapid emptines still stick in my mind; the feeling of being left without my family so abrutly when I was just a kid. Maybe I just wanted a companion to be by my side and push me to new heights.
I came this far because I believed I would meet him again; his caring nature, and unrivaled wisdom clung to me and pushed me further because I wanted to be like that. Though, when I tried, I often came off as a sentimental loser, which is why I act tough to hide the shame of wanting to be soft spoken and liked by everyone. It took so long to get my current image.

Then, when I heared that the SNA became traitors not too long ago, my heart sank… I still hoped he got out, but, somewhere inside me says that he might either be dead, or still among them; my old emotions rushed back into me like I re-awoke from a surreal dream. Heh, I’m pretty hopeless. (Zig then has a flash back of Hope smiling and joking with him.) Why am I thinking of that guy all of a sudden,” thought Zig. (He slowly closes his eyes as the scene switches to the girl’s room. Laya is sleeping on the bed with Inokichi while Nila and Midori share a bed.)

“Alright, what is the deal between you and Zig,” asked Midori. “There’s nothing, he’s just a squad member,” said Nila. “Don’t lie, even I can see that he likes you,” said Midori. “Yeah, though I don’t feel the same. He just seems like a brother to me, though much younger and less mature brother,” smiled Nila.

“Not like Hope hmm,” questioned Midori. “Way different from Hope; but I enjoy playing around with Zig, the fun we have as just friends is good enough,” said Nila. “He wouldn’t give me the time of day. I guess I’m not compatiable. Though, if we don’t intervene, I bet he and Laya would make a good couple,” said Midori. “What? Those two are at each other’s necks when ever they get the chance, I say you’re blowing smoke,” said the smiling Nila.

“See, you’re jealous, got it out of ya,” said the smiling Midori. (Nila groans.) “Even if he doesn’t end up with Laya, are you sure the relationship between you guys will be the same, if he is no longer around you as he has filled his heart with someone else? That is something you’ll have to deal with,” said Midori. (Midori closes her eyes and goes to sleep.) “Heh. Zig might act like he’d do something like that, but real friends wouldn’t dare do anything to jeapordize the bond, regardless of who swayed their heart, and I’m sure Zig feels the same way,” said Nila as she dozes off. (The scene switches to Hope and Tomoyo’s tent. The sun rises a little into the sky, the time is between 6-9 A.M. Hope wakes up puts his gear on quietly in order to not disturb Tomoyo.)

“Hope,” mumbled the sleeping Tomoyo. “Hmm,” mumbled Hope. (He picks up the pieces he gathered from his investigation and walks outside to a wooden table outside his tent. He places the foreign pieces on the table, then gazes up into the sky.)

“A beautiful morning, so full of me,” said the laughing Hope.

Next Time: Preparations for War.
