Just to throw more fuel on this (hilariously, still burning) fire:

In 1139, St. Malachy of Ireland was summoned to Rome by Pope Innocent II. While there, Malachy claimed to have experienced a vision of future popes. He wrote this vision down in the form of 112 short Latin phrases. Beginning with Pope Celestine II, every subsequent phrase has been linked in some way or another with each successive Pope right up until most recently, "Gloria olivae", Pope Benedict XVI.

Pope Benedict XVI is the penultimate pope of Malachy's vision. The next and longest of these predictions reads:

Peter the Roman, who will feed his sheep in many tribulations:
and when these things are finished, the seven-hilled city will be destroyed,
and the formidable Judge will judge his people.
