I'm currently like obsessed with Modest Mouse right now. Some friends of mine say their just a modern Talking Heads but I think their alot more than that. Good guitar riffs, underlying messages, chilling vocals, and the music really flows. Alot of their stuff gives me the chills at how it sounds.

If you wanna check'em out try these songs first before looking anything hardcore Modest Mouse up:

Float On
Ocean Breathes Salty
Fire It Up
Fly Trapped In a Jar
Missing The Boat

Also another good band is The Mars Volta, for those of you into prog rock. I really dig their falsetto vocals, it's almost as high as Geddy Lee. Plus the guitar never sounds like a guitar, he uses a different guitar effect every song, it's never raw guitar. Not to say its distortion but it just isn't raw guitar. I'm seeing them live in 2 weeks with my friend who got me into them and I'm really looking forward to it.
