This thread is exactly what happens when older guys read the manga. You're complicating things. You're overthinking! This is a shonen manga! Ofcourse the main caracter is not gay. Everything that looks like a joke in the manga, guess what it is a joke. Because when a young dude reades the manga and sees the Naruto kissing Sasuke picture and setting, he doesn't go: "The author must be implying that Naruto and Sasuke are gay" he just goes "LOL". The same goes for everything else Tzu-Men said. I don't mean any direspect to any of you here but just stop complicating innocent jokes and uncomplicated situations.
