Balto was a (real) badass dog. He was the lead dog in 1925 when diphtheria antitoxin had to be transported to Nome, Alaska. Balto kicked ass, saved lives and got a statue of himself in in New York. You know a dog is badass when it gets a fucking statue. You can go see him in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, as he was taxidermied up after his dead in 1933.
White Fang, however, is a fantastic novel written in 1906.
The Legend of White Fang was the cartoon, which was very loosely based on the novel and began its run in 1992. The animated Balto movie wasn't made until 1995.
And yes, I had to correct you. I love White Fang.
