35 miles? That shit is just hilarious. The moon itself is roughly 240 thousand miles apart from Earth.

And knowing that a 3 mile object left a 60 mile wide crater on Earth with a blast yield calculated on the 10 million megatons of TNT (for comparison, the nuclear bomb that detonated in Nagasaki, "Fat Man", only had 21 kilotons of TNT of blast yield).

Now knowing that Mars has 2100 miles of radius, imagine the view of Mars in less of 35 miles from Earth.
