No they weren't you fucking tool bag, Australia was founded by the British, many other European countries landed here first but none saw promise in the land because they always pulled up at a desert or on the north coast of WA where it's all red dirt, the poms landed saw potential sailed down a bit further and liked what they saw, returned home told the folks in charge and they decided to send convicts here due to over crowding in British prisons, people where sent here for things as petty as stealing a loaf of bread.....

Evenutally with the discovery of gold in the goldfields, people migrated out here to try their luck. This is when the other Europeans settled....
