A little over a week later, with some very spurious reading, and I'm half finished
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book 3 of 5, so about 50% done the series.

After finishing this, I think I will read the next book in the other collection of books I mentioned, "The Screwtape Letters." It's an amalgamation of fictional letters written by a senior demon to a subordinate, directing him in the manipulation of humans. I've previously read a condensed version and it was quite interesting, which I expect would still be the case if you don't believe in demons.
