It makes me sad that Bethesda will be making Fallout 4.
Well story generation in any form is incredibly simplistic right now, so the fact that even such a simple example of it has already made it into games is surprising. It really doesn't do much in Skyrim, but it's an extremely simplified version of, and first step toward, almost exactly what I proposed in my paper.
