Cool chapter. I get the feeling the full grown tree Ging is talking about is 100 times bigger. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mini-continent nested at the top, full of S-ranked creatures. I mean Ging did say that's where to Chimera ants came from after all.
The problem I have with all this is that aside from the main characters and the Zodiac there only a handful of hunters in the world that can stand a chance if something worse then the Chimera ants is introduced as the next threat. An then how would they top that? As much as I like the series, I can't help but feel the author is writing himself into a corner. It feels like it's going the same way as Yu Yu Hakusho, except with the power inflation happening at a MUCH faster pace.
