I find this chart and as the rest of that site are handy for choosing components so you get the most value for your money. If you can find a reasonably priced modular power supply, I'd highly recommend getting it if you're even slightly concerned with cable management.

The tower is just as important as the parts inside of it, so getting a good one is a wise decision.
