Lucky number 9 for me. I was born on the 9th day of the 9th month. 9 is 6 upside down. If 666=bad, then 999=good
. Also you can multiply 9 by any number and then add the numbers in the answer together to get 9 (though it might take a couple steps). Examples: 9*6=54...5+4=9. Or 9*44=396...3+9+6=18...1+8=9

How about the idea that his crew are playing decoy for him? They could make the WG think he's somewhere else while he's secretly doing whatever he's up to on the island. We've seen people with abilities to impersonate others before. Bon Clay has a DF power to do so, and Mr. 3 can make replicas of people with his Candle powers. I loathe to think that Oda would write in a character capable to using "shadow clones" or "transformation jutsu" (
or just naruto stuff in general), but it's a possibility.
