The fact that you've only had to be people for roughly 100 years (or still not in some countries). I dunno about the ladies, but as a man, being an actual person and allowed to vote, own property and have the law on your side has been really really tough. We men almost forget the joy of starting out that way.

(Oh, but watch out for the raping... that's pretty awful)
