It was made clear not just anyone can become a jink, taking on the power of the sage/juubi.... Gaara had to be compatible... Mito and kushina had a special chakra that made them as well... Clearly jinks are descended from the sage as well since they can just use his power like their own...

That did not explain all the different hair, eye colors... or skin tones.... All of which should have taken much longer then 1000 years to achieve from the two black haired, black eyed, pale skin brothers....
and the hair color of the uzumaki hair seems to be more like the uchiha's SG.... Their hair is red, but can change to white like the MS when chakra is over used... It's more a feature of their power, not genes probably...

and for someone who studies genetics you sure do not seem to know much...
Gaara is completely different from his other two siblings... He completely takes after his fathers bloodline, not his mothers... while temari looks like her mother, clearly taking after her... Kankuro doesn't really look like any them...
But point being, gaara's fathers genes are clearly dominant in him which why he has red hair and his KKG... While the others have the same genes but are not dominant obviously they would have been compatible as a jinchuriiki and have a KKG as well...
