I'm one in a five person English-y group, so we don't have grammar based disagreements [often*], especially since one of us is a linguist. However, we do fight a metric fuck-ton over style: is Virginia Woolf's version of "stream of consciousness" actually stream of consciousness, or would Faulkner's be more appropriate? We fight about whether or not colloquialisms are acceptable in papers, as well; mostly that stuff.
