and kakashi is likely doing the same because of the telepathic link obito shares with his eye in kakashi... It is just like the chakra rod concept with the RG... Obito's MS like the RG, when close enough can allow obito to share vision and have his eye react as if it was still connected to him as nagato's did...
SO instead of using a chakra rod to receive obito's power in kakashi... kakashi has obito's eye with his power in it, thus a chakra rod is not needed and obito can see through his eye, sharing vision as well as power up his eye as if it was still connected to him which is why kakashi was able to awaken kamui with a two tomoe SG without senju DNA powering his...
and What is real funny is if the other side of his body was crushed and senju hashirama's generic body was put on obito on the other side... obito would not of done shit with his SG I would bet... MS does not come form two tomoe SG's and without the senju to power his MS SG furhter then a standard... Obito would of not awakened shit... However, after obtaining the RG from nagato... placing it on the senju side of his body to be powered by senju chakra... obito would have full access to all the RG abilities as nagato did... just no kamui...
