I'm not a Minato fantard. But I will say he's the best ninja in the manga. And by ninja, I mean ninja. Not the fucking warlocks that infest this story. Dude took down what appeared to be three full grown Cloud jounin by stalking them and taking them out from the shadows. He knew how to systematically take down enemies, and that's why he was so feared with his FTG technique. Kushina was no pushover. She beat up an older genin when she was still at the academy. So, I think it was obvious the Cloud ninjas that kidnapped her were pretty powerful.

I will be the first to admit Minato is not the brick shithouse of power Hashirama and Tobirama appear to be. But I'd be willing to put him on equal terms with the previous hokages because he'd be able to out think them and use his speed to attack and disappear. He wouldn't be dumb enough to try to out power them in a straight up one on one. I know Kishi reconned the hell out of his story, but I still think the Fourth is still pretty badass.
