C'mon, son, I live in the same peninsula, I know my Spanish. That said, it's not only Barcelona Oda is paralleling, it's also Southern Spain: gazpacho and flamenco are Andalusian, while paella and squid ink dishes are Valencian. I really wouldn't be surprised if Oda threw the Alhambra in there too.
