When you guys are talking these tests/paying fees... are they for state certification? I read an article where it said that numerous states were adjusting professional credentials now to make up revenues. My wife's a clinical audiologist, so she has to pay a license fee each year regardless, but I've had several engineer friends (what I want to go back to school for) say that they are having some issues now with credentials.
This certification is actually recognized on a global level. CompTIA administer exams for various areas in Information Technology such as computer repair, networking, security, and servers to name a few. So I won't have any trouble anywhere I go to prove my competency as a computer technician.
