Re: Naruto 656
Edo-Madara may have had unlimited chakra, but he apparently did have a limit on how much he could use at any given time in that form. I'm basing this on the fact that Hashirama had him on the ropes, despite Madara having haxxes in the way of hashirama cell boosts and Rinnegan eyes, and then breaking out of Hashirama's shit right after he's revived. Clearly something must have been limiting him.
I blame it on Kabuto's weak Edo Tensei capabilities. Despite all of KYF's fan wanking on how much better Kabuto's was, he was clearly using Oro's watered down sage chakra and generic sacrifices. Orochimaru using his own sage chakra along with Zetsu sacrifices made from Hashirama cells, is what brought the hokages back at full strength. The different in the quality between the two might as well be like comparing over the counter medications to the good prescription strength stuff. Now that Madara is back at full strength, Hashirama is fucked.
Despite the obvious outcome, there were still a few good things about this chapter. The explanation of why Ridduko sennin survived having the juubi extracted and was shown bed ridden afterwards, was good. It certainly doesn't leave any room for plot holes to creep in, or forum bitching from some folks. Obito's attempted sacrifice via the Outer Path seemed to be way better done and believable then Nagato's version of it. Sure it was also the result of naruto's TnJ all the same, but at least Obito doesn't have any pretense of deserving to live or even being worthy to meet Rin in the afterlife. The dude has the attitude that he's going to hell, but might as well do some good before he goes. We really haven't seen anything like that out of a Naruto character since Zabuza died like boss (the first time) many, many eons ago. +respect for him.
I'd give the chapter a generous 4/5.
