Actually don't they have 4 out of the 5 senses if they close there eyes. Touch, smell, hear, and taste, not saying they will use them all but touch and smell will become very useful as well as hearing things. They always say your eyes can play tricks on you, so don't always trust them.

I think your little flow chart is flawed in the sense that ANBU is higher in Jounin, there are plenty of jounins that aren't skilled enough to be ANBU yet.
