^ Also, her personal theme is basically 'changing yourself'. Kishi even stated that in an interview. She will overcome her shyness, at least to the point where she's more confident (she can still have shy characteristics, since I think, when you're as shy as Hinata, you'll always be sort of like that). She's also pure-hearted and has a lot of strength, even if she doesn't realize that herself. If Kishi does what I think he'll do with her character, she'll probably become one of my top favorites.
And Hinata does have courage. She's just insecure of herself. There's a difference. She'd risk her life for someone, but is unable to express her feelings because she feels so small, so unworthy. But this is something she has decided to overcome and I think her resolution will somehow relate to Naruto's character. ^^
