There is a possibility that the scanlators assumed deidara was a girl and put she by chance. But if you notice now, they refer to deidara as a guy.
And although Hidan/Kazuku are both skilled and powerful enough to take down the jinchuuriki, we also have to take into account for time, and the jinchuuriki's ability and power, as well as what way they took on both Hidan and Kazuku.
