Back in the IRC ROOM, Shino was leaning back in his chair watching the others chat away their little heads off. As much as he didn’t care, it made his life somewhat exciting. He heard a soft ‘ring’ in his head. Telepathically, he replied to the message. Yes Veronica, what is it?

Shino! There’s a Huge Virus loose in the city. It just came out of no where! I tried to stop it but it ate right through my attacks. Something big and huge must to have attracted it, it’s a Class 5, Shino there’s no doubt about that.

Do you know it’s current location?

I can’t find it on my monitor. It’s somewhere in NL.

Damn, something of that kind of power...Veronica, get Tom down here as quick as you can. We’ll go on a all out man-hunt for this thing. Keep an eye out for any strange reports.

Shino stood up and spoke, his voice booming with southern accent. “We have a class 5 Virus loose somewhere here in NL.” His voice carried over the Forums and NL as if by some imaginary speakers everywhere. “Everyone in the Forum is to evacuate by the given exits. Everyone else is to stay where they are. No one is to leave their house unless told to.”

Lily and the others in the PM room turned and looked up at the ceiling where the voice was coming from. Lily took a small breath and blinked. “A Class 5 virus?”

“That’s the worse kind!” cried Marco. “Those are the strongest. They told my mom when we first came here that you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning more then twice then having a Class 5 attack!” Marco began panting heavily.

“Hey, calm down.” Lily reached for him but he pushed her away.

“I HAVE TO GET HOME TO MY MOMMY!” Marco cried as he ran up the stairs and out of the hallway.

The doors closed leaving only Lily and the other girl in the room. Lily looked over at her as she continued to type as if nothing was happening. Shino’s voice continued. “Since we are a bit short handed, all Mods are to report for an all out hunt. As for the rest of you, by now you should have all been headed toward the exits provided.”

Lily thought back to when she was in NC. Perhaps this is what Code 639 was about. No wonder I was in trouble for breaking it.

Lily started up the stairs but turned back. “Hey! Aren’t you coming?”

The girl clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth. “When I finish this PM I’ll be happy to leave, but until then. No.”

Lily walked over to her. “Hey come on now, didn’t you hear? We have to leave!”

“Step off me, Noob.”

Lily clenched her fists and pushed all thoughts of killing that girl right there and then out of her mind. "Fine. You want to stay here and get into trouble then that's fine with me."

Lily stepped onto the first step but something made her stop. A low gurgling sound was heard coming from behind one of the cubicles. At first Lily thought it was just the girl trying to play a mean trick on her, but then she saw it. The girl was as pale as snow, her fingers hovered, frozen above the keyboard. She had heard it to. Lily put her finger to her lips, signaling the girl to remain calm and quiet, as she crept towards the cubicle. There was nothing there, it was no different then any of the others in the room.
Lily's heart was beating like a jack rabbit, she felt like prey in a cage standing there staring at the monitor. Had the other girl not heard it to, she probably would have thought she was going crazy. There it was again. It was behind the wall!

Lily took a step back and let out a low gasp as the monitor began to melt in front of her. "Run," she said in a raspy voice. The girl had heard her but still remained frozen in the chair. Lily shook her head and gritted her teeth. "Run!" she cried, grasping the girl by her collar and pulling her toward the stairs. Lily heard the girls scream of terror and looked over her shoulder. From the melted monitor came a long greasy claw. It skin was dark gray and was popping and boiling.

Lily's heart skipped a beat, through the darkness of the wall she could make out two bright red cat like eyes. It was looking directly at her, and she looked like it's next meal. For an instant, neither moved, as if waiting for what the other would do next. The girl was at the foot of the stairs, pressing herself against Lily, trying to make her move, to run. But Lily just stood there, mesmerized but the monsters sheer terror. In her head, Lily slapped herself. IDIOT! YOU HAVE ANOTHER PERSON TO PROTECT! GET YOUR ASS MOVING!
In that instant, something snapped inside of Lily. She knew it was foolish to run, but she also knew it was foolish to stay where she was. She and the girl would surely die easily if they didn't put up some kind of fight. She gripped hard onto the girl's wrist, turned her back on the monster and dashed up the stairs as fast as her legs could carry her.

well hope you all liked it, of course Veronica isn't a real person but they were talking about spanish names or whatever next to me and my spanish name is veronica so i just went with it. it sounds like a secretary kind of name right? xD hope you all liked it.
