so after a user dies his fruit is reborn as someone last week or week before assumed...am I getting this wrong?

We've known that DFs reincarnated after the user dies for years. The mystery lies in details such as the window of opportunity to transfer the ability to a new host fruit right away.

It has been 2 years since Ace's death. This tells us that it doesn't take long for a DF to reappear in the seas.

Will this be a serious tournament ?

I mean we got Nacho libre, some bishie devil guy, Don Vitto with a beard and and one of those old army dudes in this thing. It also brings into to question how Luffy, assuming he's going to try and get the fruit, would enter this tournament since it already started and the challengers have already been chosen.

Nice to see Franky taking command in this situation. Oda remembers that Franky was a crime boss himself. This fairy business is weird as hell, I wonder if they are the new species Oda mentioned in that interview.

One time I had the thought that maybe the DF just pops out of the body...Like a parasite or host..once the user dies it just floats outward...i know this sounds crazy....and stupid but heh this is OP.....anything can happen....BB covered WB up with a curtain and came out swagging his abilities...idk but yeah i got ya Dag.

I would love for Oda to remember that Nami was top notch thief back in the day, who has since acquired the power to turn herself invisible by manipulating weather. She should seriously use this to her advantage and just steal that damn fruit.

More then likely though it's gonna be a showdown between Nami and the faeries.

We saw how CC recycled Smilie's DF right away after it ate the giant candy and converted into shinokuni. That is one possible way.

However, it is so simplistic that it is baffling that more people never notice the process, so there has to be more to it.

Dfla's network is enormous. If anyone can get rare DFs it's Dfla.

Edit: Is that supposed to be Che with Caribou's face ?

Moving right along. Luffy abandon's plans to fight in tournament while Law does his work behind the scenes and the argumentative duo stumble upon something completely different while chasing the sword. And whatever happens at the ship. Set up for the next, oh, 40 chapters.

Also, every time I look at Luffy in disguised I keep thinking it's Master Roshi.

I want this tournament to unfold smoothly. OP is starving for some real battles, most fights after the TS have been 1 sided. The Quixote pirates also need to justify their hype, if my assessment is correct Baby 5 and Buffalo were small fish and hopefully, at the very least the old guy gives us a smashing show.

Well history shows us that every time Luffy has gotten into a serious fight with a Shichibukai they've been put through the grinder (Crocodile, Moria, Barthelomew), so I'd hope since Dofalmingo has been one of the most hyped Shichibukai that Oda will deliver a good show for us.

Good point that, and if I remember correctly there was a thread on here involving the One Piece Z film and it went on about how Donflamingo was the one to cut Z arm off, and then become the very first Shichibukai, having not seen the movie yet but hearing how badass Admiral Z is then that just hypes Donflamingo up more for me.

I didn't know it was Doflamingo that took off his arm, but Z was a fucking monster, not the biggest ever, but if you can stand toe to toe with Kizaru you're a somebody in this manga, and not just anybody. The movie wasn't all I expected but his power levels were off the chart.

Also the Blind Swordsman is very nostalgic the way his conversation went on with Luffy, kind of how he met BB the first time after getting beat up. Its just an odd look the Luffy has, thats not like 'I want you to join my crew'. I can't put my finger on it, but he had the same look with the Swordsman as Blackbeard back in the day. The one thing is that both seemed to own Luffy's attention, but not in a silly, or even pissed off way, more... focused.

Would be interesting to have a sympathetic admiral. Kinda like Kuzan I guess.

i dont think the old guy will fight since he is clearly trying to keep a low profile and i doubt sakazuki would appoint an admiral just like kuzan esp after that big fight.
