[ - Naruto FAQ - ] (possible spoilers for anime watchers)
Naruto FAQ
Father?! Facts assembled!! NARUTO FAQ STARTS!!!! Q: Where are naruto’s parents? A: They hated him and left. I mean, uh… When the fourth hokage sealed the demon fox inside of naruto, naruto was a new born baby. No full explanation is given as to what happened to his parents, all we know is that he is an orphan. Whether they ran away to form akatsuki or died while fighting the demon fox is unkown. AS OF NOW, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. Q: Hey, that yondaime guy looks a lot like Naruto. A: That is not a question, however, if you are inferring that Yondaime is Naruto’s father, you are an idiot. Yes, they have the same hair and eyes, however, so do Naruto and deidra. Assuming relation based on hair colour and eye colour is preposterous. I will admit, it is possible, but AT THIS POINT, WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH FACTS TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE FATHER AND SON. As such, we will assume they are not related. It has now been confirmed that Yondaime Hokage, Namikaze Minato, is the father of Naruto. Many lands!!! Map must be used!!! The shinobi world is explored. IN naruto, there are 10 countries. These countries have hidden villages where the shinobi reside. Out side of these villages, there are not many Shinobi out side of these villages. A list of countries and their villages, along with a link to a (crudely) drawn map are provided below. The Earth Country - Hidden Village of Rock _ The Fire Country - Hidden Village of Leaf _ The Grass Country - Hidden Village of Grass _ The Lightning Country - Hidden Village of Cloud _ The Rain Country - Hidden Village of Rain _ The Sound Country - Hidden Village of Sound _ The Wave Country - Hidden Village of Wave _ The Water Country - Hidden Village of Mist _ The Waterfall Country - Hidden Village of Waterfall _ The Wind Country - Hidden Village of Sand http://www.narutocentral.com/images/content/country.gif Meanings of the name!! Grammatical errors apparent! Names are reviled! Q: I heard Naruto means "I love anal rape" "Swirl" or something, what is up with that? A: Naruto is the name of a city, a group of whirl pools and, believe it or not, an ingredient in ramen (a small pink fish flake). Uzumaki means swirl. When developing character names, artists at weekly shonen jump ar asked to make the names easy to remember. Puns are commonly used in naming characters so the readers can remember their names. Q: What are the hokage’s names/ A: The only hokages whose name have been revealed. Are Tsunade (the fifth) and Sarutobi (the third). Q: The what is with people calling them shodaime, nidaime, sandaime,Yondaime and godaime? A: Time for a Japanese lesson: This week!!1 Numbers!!!!! 1st=SHO 2nd=NI 3RD=SAN 4th=YON 5th=GO Daime is a title of sorts. When "sho" is added to it, you get shodaime, which means "the first", Nidaime means "the second" etc… Q: HEY!!! You said sarutobi was the third hokage’s name! What about the jonin known as Asuma Sarutobi? A: In chapter 315 Asume was reveild to be the third’s son. It is safe to assume he and konohamaru are related some how Q: Is it "Uzumaki Naruto" Or "Naruto Uzumaki"? A: As much as I hate to admit it, "Naruto Uzumaki" Is the correct Romanization of his name. It is a Japanese rule that when taking a name written in Japanese and writing it using the roman alphabet, that you use the western name conventions. (GIVEN NAME followed by SURNAME) Just as it is ‘Naruto Uzumaki’ It would be "Sasuke Uchiha", "Kakashi Hatake" Q: What do these peroples names mean? A: Okay, here is a list of the Konoha Genin (well, as part 3 of the chunnin exams) Naruto Uzumaki: Naruto is a pink fish cake in Raman, Uzumaki is a Japanese swil Sasuke Uchiha: Sasuke is the name of a legendary ninja, Uchiha is a pun. The character (katakana) for "Ha" can also be pronounced "wa", and Uchiwa is a foldless fan, like the one found on the back of sasuke’s shirt. Haruno Sakura: It means "cherry blossom.’ TenTen: Ten means heaven in japanese, repeating some ones given name in japanese is considered "cute". Neji Hyuga: Neji means skrew, Hyuga means sunny. Rock Lee: A refrence to bruce lee Shikamaru: Shika means deer, Maru is a common ending to boy’s names. Ino: Means pig or boar. Chouji: Mean butter fly. Also, in the hanafuda card game, an "Ino, shika, chou" set is a winning combination. Hinata Hyuga: Both names mean Sunny or sunny day. Kiba†Inuzuka: Kiba means fang, Inu means dog. It was also the family name of a dog samurai in the book Hakkenden Shino aburame: Shino is the given name to the dog samurai in Hakkenden.. Aburame is th ejapnese word for “oil woman”. Also, his full name (in Japanese order) is close to the Japanese word for aphid, Aburameshi. Q: What does konohahakure, sunagakure, and otokagure mean? A: Konoha means leaf, Suna means sand, Oo means sound. When applied to Gakure, Gakure means “Hidden in the” OMGBBQ! NINJA RANKS!!! GENIN TO HOKAGE REVEALED! The ninja ranks, from lowest to highest are: Academy student Genin Chunin Jonin Hokage Special jonin-this is not a rank, it is a title given to jounins who specialize in something....for example, anko is a special jounin who knows a lot about Orochimaru Anbu-this is not a rank, it is a title SANNIN?! SENNIN?! IN JAPANESE ONE LETTER CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The wod "Sannin" means "Three ninja" in Japanese. In naruto, Orochimaru, Tsunade and Jiyara are refered to as " The legendary Sannin". However, Jiyara is also known as the toad sennin or ero senin. Sennin is a term which means "Hermit". (Ero means pervert). The difference is sannin can refer to any 3 ninja. However, the LEGENDARY SANNIN is only used when referring to Jiyara,Tsunade and orochimaru. Ninjutsu? Taijutsu? Genjutsu? Chakra? NINJA ARTS ASSEMBLE. Q: what is ninjutsu, Genjutsu,Taijutsu and charkra? A; Ninjustu is the ninja arts. In naruto, these moves can do anything from making multiples of yourself o fusing with a dog. Genjutsu is The art of illusions. These can cause the opponent to think that are swimming through water when really, they are walking on fire. This is good for distracting opponent and confusing them. Taijutsu is the are of the trained body. These are simply physical attackts. Chakra is what fuels the above arts. (though, taijutsu is possible without chakra) Depending on how you manipulate it, you can do things like walk on water or stick to walls. Kakkei Genkai?? Sharingan, Byakugan, Halu’s kekei genkai, UNITE!!!! Q: What is a kekkei-Genkai? A: A kekkei genkai is a special techiunique that is passed down through clans. The technique is automatically known at birth. Q: What is up with the sharingan? A: The sharingan is a kekkei genkai belonging to the Uchiha family. It allows the user to copy any ninjustsu technique with ease, see through any Genjutsu and see a persons movemeants before the person makes them. Q: What about the Byakugan? A: The byakugan is a kekkei genkai belonging to the hyuga family. It allows the user to see through solid material, see in 359 degree vision and see chakra and the ay it moves. |

Re: [ - Naruto Faq - ]
Akatsuki?! Yondaime?! TOBI! Bijuu! Akatsuki investigated!
Q: What is akatsuki? What are their motives? A: They are a terrorist group bent on capturing all the bijuu. We do not know what they plan to do with them. Q: Bijuu? Nigga, what’d you say? A: A bijuu is one on the demons. Naruto hold the nine tailed Bijuu inside of him, Gaara hold the 1 tailed bijuu inside of him. The bjuu are really big and amazingly powerful demons, they are sealed inside of people in order too prevent the demons from wrecking shit all over the land. Q: Oh, okay, well, uh, who all is in akatsuki, what is up with their rings? A: I am going to take this from wikipedia: Each Akatsuki member wears a single, unique ring, and no two members wear a ring on the same finger. Each member wears their ring on the same finger as the spot they occupy on the giant statue. In total, there are ten rings, but Akatsuki only possesses nine; Orochimaru kept the tenth after he defected from the organization. It still rests on the little finger of his severed left hand from his original body. The rings seem to have some special significance: Tobi believed that he could become a member after finding Sasori's ring, and although Zetsu claims it's not as easy as that, Tobi does become a member. Deidara reinforces the significance of the rings after losing both his arms by expressing more concern for finding the arm with his ring, rather than finding the arm itself. Each ring bears a unique symbol, the first kanji of its name. Members: The leader (unkown name) The Akatsuki Leader's name has been revealed as Pain. Deidra Hidan Zatsu Itachi Uchia Kakuzu Kisami Tobi Un named member ( a blue haired female, but probably a guy, member.) The unnamed member has now been confirmed as Konan, and she is a woman. A picture of all the members can be seen here; http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2d/Akatsukispread.jpg Past members: Orochimaru Sasori Q: OMG I AM A LOSER, THE LEADER HAS SPIKEY HAIR, THUS HE MUST BE YONDAIME.! A: Once again, not a question, however, if you look at the picture I gave above with all the akatsuki members in it, You’d realize the leader (op right) has BROWN HAIR, NOT YELLOW!!!! It might be dye you say? I really, really doubt kishimoto would pull that shit. Q: IS TOBI REALLY OBITO?!?!?!?!?!?!?! THEY HAVE THE SAME LETTERS SO THEY MUST BE!!!! A: Um,some how what with tobi loosing his eye and all, I doubt it. Q: Why did orochimaru leave akatsuki? A: He left because Itachi Uchiha was stronger than him as Orochimaru wanted to learn more of the sharingan from him by taking it from him. GASP!! 3 Ninja appear!! Kakashi gaiden?! TIME SKIP! Q: What is the kakahi gaiden? A: The kakshi gaiden (translated It means the kakashi side story) was a small story ark (4 or 5 chapters long) that acted as an intermission between naruto time skip. Q: What happened in it, what purpose did it serve? A: The kakashi gaiden detailed how kakashi go his sharingan, a mystery that had long agitated many viewers. Here is the basic story line. (Took it from wikipedia, I am too lazy to type it all up.) The story surrounds a 13 year-old Kakashi Hatake, who embarks on a mission with his team, which includes another boy named Obito Uchiha, from the same clan as Sasuke Uchiha, a medic kunoichi named Rin, and their teacher, the future Fourth Hokage (from here on referred to as the Fourth for simplicity). They were first seen in the team portrait from flashbacks at the conclusion of the Chunin Exam arc. This arc answers many questions about Kakashi's past. It is learned how Kakashi receives his Sharingan, the identity of Obito, and when Kakashi became a Jonin. It also gives a first glimpse of who the Fourth was, when he was still alive. At a meeting to hear their new mission, Kakashi receives gifts for advancement to Jonin from his teammate Rin and his Jonin sensei, the future Fourth Hokage. His other teammate, Obito, has forgotten a gift and becomes annoyed at Kakashi. Kakashi dismisses Obito as useless but Obito says once he awakens his Sharingan he will surpass Kakashi. The Fourth tells his team their mission so they travel through the Grass Country in the middle of a conflict between the Hidden Rock and Hidden Leaf villages. Being spied on from the trees beyond by a ninja from Hidden Rock, Kakashi sees this as a good time to use his new jutsu: the Chidori. Kakashi bolts away to attack their hidden foe. Faced with numerous Kage Bunshin, Kakashi cannot find the original ninja. The Rock-nin uses the mayhem to attack a defenseless Obito, but the Fourth rescues Obito and then instantly transports in to the location of their foe using his Flying Thunder God Technique. The Rock-nin is shocked to have faced "Konoha's Yellow Flash" and fallen to him so easily. Kakashi calls Obito a coward, and Obito later asks the Fourth why Kakashi acts the way he does. The Fourth tells him of how Kakashi's legendary father, Sakumo Hatake (also known as Konoha's White Fang), killed himself after the village looked down on him for rescuing his teammates rather than completing his mission. The Fourth arrives to help outnumbered Leaf-nin in battle by using his Hiraishin no Jutsu to take out their large number of opponents. Elsewhere in the Land of Grass, Kakashi reflects on Obito words. Obito himself finds at Rin's location but he is snuck up on by an invisible Rock-nin. Kakashi arrives to save Obito but gets his left eye slashed in the process. Obito is scared and begins to cry but he reaffirms himself and finally activates his Sharingan. Using it, he sees his invisible attacker and kills him. Kakashi bandages his eye and the two Leaf-nin approach a cave to save the weakening Rin from the remaining Rock ninja. Using their skills, they strike the Rock-nin and save Rin. When Obito throws Kakashi out of the way of a falling rock, caused by an Iwa-nin's Earth Release: Rock Lodging Destruction, his entire right side is crushed. Mortally wounded and knowing his life is over, he tells Rin to remove his eye and offers Kakashi his Sharingan-capable, intact left eye as a belated promotion present and final gift to Kakashi for being promoted to Jonin. Obito tells Kakashi he is a great ninja and that he can become Kakashi's eye and help them all live on. A short time passes and Kakashi emerges from the rubble a holder of the Sharingan. When Kakashi emerges he strikes out against the Rock-nin and manages to kill him using his fully perfected Chidori. More Rock-nin arrive and cause a further cave-in, forcing Rin and Kakashi to leave Obito behind as the rubble envelops him. Angered, Kakashi goes to fight his opponents but he passes out from a lack of chakra. Rin uses the Fourth's gift to Kakashi, a special Hiraishin kunai, to bring the Hokage to their location to save them. Kakashi awakens to find their enemies defeated. The Fourth apologizes for not getting there more quickly. The remaining team members cherish their memories of Obito and go on to destroy the bridge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q:OHHHHH so that is how he got his sharingan? A: Yes. Q: What is the time skip? What is this naruto PART 2? A: The naruto time skip is an intermission in the manga. After the end of part one (after naruto gets back from the sasuke fight) Naruto decides to train with jiyara. Instead of showing all the, the creator of naruto decided to take a 4 week break. After the 4 week break he unveiled ‘Naruto Part:2’. Naruto part two is two years after the sasuke-naruto fight. Naruto along with everyone else has a new look. A CRAP LOAD OF CREDIT GOES TO CORBENK FOR WRITING ALL OF THIS. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD SEND ME A PM. |

Re: [ - Naruto FAQ - ] (possible spoilers for anime watchers)
ADDED:
DAAAAATTEBaAYo0oO)o)))!!!????? OK. Let's get this straight. Dattebayo has no *specific* meaning but it isn't a nonsense word. It's an 'ender' for Japanese sentences like ''desu''. (In Rurouni Kenshin's ''degozaru'' that's just an ancient, Edo period way of ending a sentence formally.) Other enders include: 1. ''wa'': girlish ending; usually tacked on after 'desu' 2. ''ze'': tough guy ending; usually found as a mix with desu = ''daze'' 3. ''yo'': stresses the topic of the sentence 4. ''ka'': is like a Japanese question mark 5. ''kudasai'': technically a 'please' or something 6. ''da'': slang version for 'desu' 7. ''dabe'': country-hick slang (Touhoku dialect) 8. ''datte'': 'that's the way it is' or 'that's what he/she said' ender; Remember not to take this translation *literally*. This could also be used to stress that the topic of the conversation can't be taken/argued any further. So, ''dattebayo'' is most likely that ''datte'' + ''dabe'' + ''yo'' = 'low-class country-hick version of 'that's the way *it* is' ender. That must be how the Americans came up with ''Believe it.'' (t/l note: Believe it would literally be 'Shinjite kudasai.') Because of the vague, nonspecific meaning, ''dattebayo'' can be used in different ways (one is listed below). In any case, ''dattebayo'' is a (practically made-up) combination ender that is supposed to be Naruto's catch phrase. ''Nandattebayo?'' (a) Nani + datte + dabe + yo (b) 'What?' + 'that's the way it is' ender + hick ender + 'stress on topic' ender (c) t/l: ''(sheez) What is it?'' Understand now? Thank you! -by yumemiko |

Narutopedia
The site is basically like Wookieepedia.com if you're familiar with it. It's an entire Wikipedia branch dedicated to Naruto. Check it out. |
